Robin

I sat idly next to her as I waited for her to wake up. My eyes were heavy from lack of sleep, but I refused to allow myself to relax before she woke up and my eyes met hers. My fingers absentmindedly played with her slim ones as I patiently waited for her beautiful green eyes to open. It was agonizing really, waiting for the one you love to wake up from nearly dying only hours ago. It was strange, the day had gone pretty normal besides the small setback after meeting X again. X. I swear to God when I see him again-
my thoughts stopped when I heard a small groan. I looked down to see Starfire trying to open her eyes. "Star? It's ok sweetheart, it's me. It's Robin."
After another minute of trying to wake up, her eyes finally opened to reveal those beautiful green irises I loved so much. A breath of relief escaped me and I brought her knuckle to my lips where I left several relieved kisses.
"Robin what happened? M-my leg, it hurts!" Her eyes filled with tears and she quickly closed them in pain. I let my fingers glide through her red hair as I tried to soothe her fear and pain away. "You were attacked, but he's gone now and all that matters is that you're safe." Her eyes widened in fear. Did I say something wrong?
"S-safe?"
"Yes sweetheart, what's wrong?"
She didn't answer, instead she started to try and sit up.
I gently laid my arm over her chest and tried to push her down. "Star no, you need to rest, Raven said it would be another week before you can walk again."
"A week? No, no, no, no, I can't sit here for a week. Safe, no, not- not safe." She seemed to be battling herself as her sentence faded into senseless mumbles. She's hiding something from me. I was about to ask, when our friends decided to enter.
"Star, thank God you're ok. We weren't sure you were going to make it for a while there." She looked at Cyborg with relief as he walked over to her and gave her a hug.
"Yeah, you were bleeding so much I nearly passed out from the sight of it." Raven punched Beastboy in the arm as she tried to shut him up. "Shut up BB."
BB? I've never heard Raven call him that before. He only let out a subtle "ow" before blushing and rubbing his arm. I'll have to investigate that later. "Beastboy is correct though. Whoever attacked you was lucky enough to slice right through your femoral artery. You lost a lot of blood and since you're a totally different species, there was no way we could donate any to you. We had to wait and see if you would make it through the night."
Raven seemed grim as she explained this and I could understand why. She almost lost her sister and I almost lost the only woman besides my mother who I have loved. It was a rough night for everyone.
"Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated friends." We looked at Starfire and everyone nodded.
I looked at Raven and silently begged her to leave us alone, just so I could situate her in her own room.
"Come on boys, let's let Robin get her set up in her room." Damn she's good.

Starfire

My mind was reeling and I had to keep forcing myself to stay focused on what was happening right then and there. Robin gently took my weak body into his arms and I wrapped my arms around his neck and let my head rest against his chest. He gave my forehead a quick kiss before he walked to my room with ease. He displayed so much strength with so much ease, and I don't know if it's the medicines I'm on or if I'm still only half-conscious, but I was finding Robin incredibly attractive at the moment. I couldn't take my eyes off of his masked face and I let one of my hands rest on his cheek. He looked down at me and made a small smile before he looked up and opened my door. He set me on my bed and proceeded to look through my drawers for what I'm assuming was some clean clothes. It was then that I really realized how dirty I was. Dry blood covered my legs and I even had some in my tangled hair. I looked terrible. "Star, how about you let me help you clean off?"
I was only able to nod my head before he picked me up again and brought me to my bathroom. He set me on the toilet and grabbed my clean clothes and a towel. Robin started to run the hot water and let the tub fill before helping me undress. "You know, I've been in this position before as well. I can't even begin to count how many times Batman had to help me clean after I endured countless wounds from whatever villain we faced. It was awkward and weird at first but sometimes I was so weak that I had no choice but to accept help. He was basically my father though so I guess at some point it stopped bothering me, until I got older, then I had to stop it." I let myself smile as he removed my shorts and undergarments with ease. I could tell he was resisting the urge of staring at my unclothed body. He lifted my shirt from my arms and took a sharp breath in at the sight before him. I blushed and covered myself in embarrassment.
"Star, don't. Don't hide yourself from me please." He licked his lips and looked me in the eyes. "You're so beautiful."
He kissed my forehead in an attempt to comfort me.
"Every inch of you, is so beautiful."
He smiled at me before he lifted me and set my naked body into the warm water, however, he left my bandaged leg to hang out the side of the tub. A sigh of comfort left my lips as my aching body soaked in the soothing warmth of the water. Robin wasted no time before helping me wash my hair. I would rub the shampoo and conditioner in and then he would run the water over my damp hair to rinse it clean. I was fine until it came time to wash my body.
"Alright, is it ok with you if I clean you?"
He was trying to seem calm and caring but I could sense the uneasiness behind his question.
"Of course."
It only took a moment for him to squirt the soap onto the rag and start washing my body. He took care in being gentle as he scrubbed the dry blood from my skin and I could tell he was trying not to hurt me. Back on Tameran, no one ever treated me with so much respect and kindness. The only thing they cared about was shipping me off to the Citadel and turning me into a slave in order to save themselves. When I first came to earth it was terrifying, I expected them to ship me off just as my own planet did, I never expected to find friends, or love.
