I do not know what happened. One minute I was in Elkston, Maine, and the next minute I am on the side of some ravine in some, god forsaken desert. There are a few plants nearby, but their leaves are a deep red. I was always taught not to eat red plants; they could poison you... so, despite feeling really hungry, all I can do is sit here and look at those red plants.
You know, this is madness, what is going on? What has happened to me?
I had better check to make sure I'm okay and not hurt. Maybe I have bashed my head and am hallucinating or something. No, There is not a mark on me, my arms, legs, and all my body parts seem to be in perfect working order. There is a slight scratch that runs the length of my forearm, but it is not that bad. I guess I'll make it!
I found this notebook and pen in my jacket, so to help stop me from feeling that I am going utterly insane, I am going to write down my thoughts.
There are some footprints on the floor of the ravine. I can't make out what they are, but they aren't that big. I think whatever it is, it walks on four legs and isn't moving very fast. I should be able to catch it.
It is now a few hours later, or at least I think it is a few hours later. I did manage to catch the creature causing the footprints. It was just a rodent, about the size of one of those vermin I used to hunt back home.
I tried cooking it, but for some reason, every time I tried lighting a match it just flashed and went out. Went out, my ass! It never got close to lighting, so I ended up eating the damn rodent raw.
The sun had just gone down, and I could never believe that there were so many stars in the sky. They were all so beautiful, but one, in particular, caught my attention. It was a bright blue star that hugged the horizon for about twenty minutes before it sank behind a mountain that was many miles away across the ravine.
I am now feeling extremely tired, I have to sleep, so goodnight where ever I am, and hopefully I'll still be alive in the morning
