I decided that it would be better if I stayed on the top of the canyon rather than travel along the river below. It was easier to travel and would cut a few hours off of my journey, that was until I found this woman wandering through some rocks.

"Who are you?" I asked as she stepped from the rocks and walked over to me. Yeah, I was surprised to see another Human this far away from the Human cities, but I was also happy to see a Human anywhere on this planet.

"My name is Erinna," she said with a smile on her face and what a beautiful face it was. She had freckles on her ivory white skin, red hair and aquamarine eyes. "I have been sent here looking for a man who visited my city some time ago." When she described her city, I knew that I was that man, and when I told her, she said that something terrible had happened, and her people had to evacuate the city. "We are hoping that you can help us!"

Why does everyone on this planet think I can help them, I thought about this, but I didn't answer, yes or no. But I did explain, that I had something important to take care of, and that I would come back as soon as I could and try to help..

She didn't say a word, but her eyes showed disappointment and even anger. I was obviously distracted, and so I was truly shocked when suddenly she jumped at me. In one movement she knocked me to the ground and took the white sword from the sheath. "When you decide what is important, then this will be returned to you," she growled as she broke into a run back into the rocks.

"I need that," I yelled, but to no avail, as she was already gone. I tried to follow her for a while, but the going was too hard, and she was too fast, so I turned back on course and once again started walking back to Tergina.
