ENTRY 46

22.04.63.19.23

Pandorica came to my room about a couple hours ago. That was quite a shock, but what she had to say was more of a shock. She wanted to leave this kingdom of hers, and she wanted to leave immediately! She told me she had decided, so many cycles ago, when her father told her that she would have to leave the life she had always known to become the Princess she was meant to be and live in Tergina. Since childhood, she had always dreaded the idea of leaving her family and becoming the royalty of Tergina. So bravely she told her father, even if it was wrong, she wanted no part of being a princess. So her father had sent the message to Tergina that is daughter had decided to abdicate and when she was of suitable age Pandorica's sister Ribnia would become Princess of Tergina. Naturally, when we had both arrived in Tergina the Zartoon there thought Pandorica had changed her mind.

I was so relieved Pandorica felt that way, as I had been having the same feelings ever since my first day here.I liked our simple life, certainly not, a royal one full of Zartoon pomp and ceremony. We talked about it for a while and together we came up with an idea. She kissed me and then called her guards and they escorted her back to her royal chambers.

A few hours later as the sun started going down, as we had planned, I left my rooms and walked to a nearby cliff, which was only a short walk from my royal quarters. There were several boats tied in the river directly below me. It was just a minute or two after I got there when Pandorica walked up with her escorts. "Leave me," she ordered her escorts. "I want to spend time with my husband once again with no one around." When they refused to leave, she reminded them who she was and demanded that they leave or face her wrath. She stood with her eyes locked on them as they turned walked back along the steep pathway and went into one of the nearby buildings.

"Let's go," I said to her as I took her hand and we started climbing down the face of the cliff.

We made it down without any problems. Once we were safe on the river, I took a log from the shoreline and punched holes into the bottom of every boat except one. That one we climbed into and started once again to drift down the river and toward Warrego Valles. As we drifted away, I could hear voices calling for Princess Gavabu and calling for guards to search the city and the area to find out where she went.

Thankfully, they were not going to find us. It was too dark for them to see us, and even if they could, there was no way for these Zartoon to follow us, so we just lay back in the boat and relaxed as the city faded into the distance.
