The album sold 29 000 units on the first day of release. It became South Korea's number one best selling album of 2009, after a month of its release.

The album's title single "Sorry, Sorry" became an instant hit, collecting a total of ten number-one awards for ten consecutive weeks in Korea. The single debuted at number one at Hanteo charts, number one for 8 consecutive weeks on Thai [V] Countdown Chart, number one for 34 weeks on Taiwan's Singles Chart and was the first k-pop album to reach number one on The Philippines Music charts.
