Chapter 8: Don't tell Andy!

*Jade's P.O.V.*

"Ha, finally!" CC exclaimed.

Jake and Ashley walked into the back lounge where CC and I were playing videogames on the floor.

"I finally beat you! Suck it!" CC yelled.

I laughed at him as he stood up and did a victory dance.

"What's going on in here?" Ashley asked as he sat on the couch behind us.

"Yeah, and what's with the dance?" Jake asked, sitting next to me on the floor.

"I finally beat her! She's amazing at this, maybe even better than you Jake." CC said.

"Woah," Jake started, getting defensive. "We'll have to see about that."

Jake grabbed a controller.

"You wanna play, Purdy?" CC asked him.

He was on his phone and ignored CC.

"Hey!" I yelled.

I yanked his phone from his hands and put it in my pocket.

"What?" He asked, raising his voice.

"You're playing videogames with us." I said.

"Why?" Ashley asked.

"Because you're always on your phone. Communicate with your friends for once." I said.

"But I see them all the time." He whined.

"Too bad." I said.

"Okay, I'll play with you on one condition." Ashley said.

I turned around to see he had a huge smirk on his face.

"Uh oh.." I said.

"I'll play with you if you sit on my lap." Ashley said.

CC and Jake looked a little angry at Ashley as he smirked.

"Uh, okay." I said. "You're not gonna do anything, are you?" I asked a little nervous.

"No." He said.

"Okay." I said.

I got up off the floor and grabbed the extra controller. I sat on Ashley's lap and handed him the controller. We all began playing CoD together. Ashley had wrapped his arms around me with his controller right below mine. We had played for a few hours and everyone was getting bored.

"Hey guys. Having fun?" Andy said.

He had walked in just as we finished the game up.

"I'm bored." I said.

I chucked the controller across the room towards the console and it hit the wall.

"Hey, you gonna pay for that?" Andy said.

"Sorry, I didn't want to hold onto it anymore." I said.

"Well you didn't have to throw it." Andy replied.

He walked over to the wall and picked up the controller. He placed it in its drawer near the console.
