"Honey...", my mom spoke after carefully closing the door behind her back.
"Mom please", I snifft looking at her, "No preaching right now".
"Diane, I promise you I won't preach", she replied, "How I see you've already packed, huh?".
I nodded, "After all, I still want to go", I explained.
"You think that's a good decision?", her expression softened as she sat herself beside me on the floor.
"Yeah I have some questions that need to be answered", I said closing the zipper on my suitcase.
"Even if I fail or he wouldn't talk to me again, I need to get these things cleared"
~ The Next Morning ~
"Wake up Diane, it's already seven in the morning", my mom told me as she walked into my room followed by rolling up the blinds.
"Ugh", I groaned sleepily grabbing the blanket and shoving it above my head.
"Sweetie get up", she said one more time as she pushed the cover right off of me.
"You don't want to lose your flight, do you, huh?", she replied, "Come on, I made breakfast".
I rolled my eyes and clumsily got out of bed.
I grabbed my clothes and walked to the bathroom where I took a quick shower and made myself ready as good as possible.
It didn't matter how much I tried you still could see the hurting expression from the news yesterday on my face. So I decided to not care at all.
Combing my hair into a slight messy bun and leaving my eyes with a small line of eyeliner and some mascara I looked at myself trying t smile even the smallest.
I turned the light off and walked into the kitchen where my mom was already waiting for me with some slices of toast, eggs and a cup of hot chocolate.
I giggled looking at the food covered table, it's been a long time since she made breakfast for me at all.
Yeah sometimes it's great to be the only child.
I sat down and ate some bites before we started to leave.
"Do you have everything you need?", she asked.
"I guess so", I mumbled looking around.
"Then let's go", she motioned me to go through the door at first as she grabbed my suitcase.
"Thanks for driving me to the airport", I spoke after a while playing with my fingers.
The nearer we got the higher raised my adrenalin. I took a deep breath, Ok calm down Diane, it isn't worth one second, I told myself again and again.
Not much time passed as we arrived at the airport, "Should I come with you before the plane takes off?", my mom looked at me as she turned down the enginee.
"Would be very kind", I murmur almost barely audible.
She just smiled getting off the car as she opened the cargobay to drag out my suitcase.
I grabbed my bag following her to the main entrance.
"Enjoy the time you spend there honey", she embraced me.
"But hey", my mom pulled away looking me straight into my eyes, "Don't do things you can't take, no one in this world is worth struggle if he doesn't care, ok?", she spoke raising her eyebrows.
"Yes, I understand", I nodded kissing her cheek before I took the suitcase and left.
"Bye mom", I smiled as she waved goodbye.
Along with the other passengers I walked down the gate into the airport, I dropped my suitcase and took my map out of my bag.
"Ok now let's see", I mumbled to myself looking at it.
The next hotel was just a few minutes of walking away, so I grabbed my stuff and started the first chapter of my journey.
~At The Hotel~
"A room for one week please", I said looking at the receptionist.
"Of course ma'am", the young woman smiled kindly and handed me the keys.
"On the second floor the fifth door to your left", she told me and pointed to a large double door.
"Thank you", I smiled and walking into the huge staircase.
'Not even an elevator?', I raised my eyebrown looking around and up to the large stairway in front of me.
Holy shit that's gonna be torture.
I rolled my eyes and slung my suitcase as good as possible around my bag as I started walking up the white stone stairs to the second floor.
Totally out of breath I reached my room, I dropped my stuff and opened the door.
Still heavy breathing I let myself fall onto the couch before I could even look around.
This staircase is the death for my lungs, and I desperately need some rest right now...
