On the next day I took my bike to drive to the next store, on my way I met Heidi.
"Hey what are you doing here?", I smiled as I recognised her under the fluffy hat she was wearing.
"Oh well, you know I was looking for some christmas presents for my family", she said looking through the shelves.
She's right, there aren't many days for christmas and I haven't bought anything for my family either.
"You remind me dear, I'm gonna join you", I chuckled and made my way along the aisles.

My mom got a slight obsession with decorative stuff so I decided to buy a fifteen inch tall santa claus with a cheeky smile for her.
For my dad I bought a voucher from the men's wear store around the corner and some chocolate, it never fails to buy him chocolate, now I know where my obsession come from, but I can't help it it's just so delicious.

Anyway as I dropped my stuff on the counter some old lady was the next to come and as she peeled each penny out of her purse.
'Does a slow - penny - peeling - on - a - full counter - competition exists?, If yes than she's  close to win this', I thought and looked around.
"And what did you find for your family?", a voice spoke behind me as I found Heidi standing right behind my annoyed self as she also put her things on the counter.
"This", I said short pointing with my finger towards the items".
"Cool", she nodded.

Then finally it was my turn, I watched the cashier lady as she ran the items along the desk and took them immediately into my bag as I paid.
I waited on the exit until Heidi was ready too as we left the store.

"So and what are you doing when you're home?", she asked as we walked to our bikes.
"I think I'll start packing, there isn't much time left".
"Let me know how your trip was, I wanna know it first", she smiled while unlocking her bike lock.
"Sure", I said swinging the bag pack around my shoulders.

~Back At Home~

"Hey sweetie", my mom cheered as she met me in the doorframe.
"Should I help you with the trash bins?", I asked dropping my bag in the hall way.
"No, I'm almost done, but thanks", she stated as she poured the last bin in the trash.
"Uhm, Diane?", she continued.
"Yes?".
"Did you hear the news?", she asked worried eyes staring down at me.
"No, what news do you mean?", I looked at her confused arching a brow.
"Oh uhm nothing important...", she stuttered.
I shot her a serious glare as I took my bag walking upstairs to my room.

Unpacking the presents I tip toed out of my room shutting the door tight behind me.
I made my way to the store room for wrapping paper and glue as I crept past by the living room
My mom was in there sitting on the couch and watching some television as suddenly the news came on.
I decided to stay outside the doorframe and watching it, maybe I find out myself what my mom wanted to tell me earlier.
"Amongst others our headlines are today:
Crashing accident - Two cars collide with each other on the highway
Addictive sugar - pepsi cola make it's way to the highest selling soft drink
And Unexpected Marriage", the speaker cleares his throat.
"Popstar and King of Pop Michael Jackson got married to Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the King of Rock n' Roll Elvis Presley".
My mouth popped open as I stood there completely numb.
"What the hell?!", I bursted into the living room.
My mother looked at me, "Were it those news, you tried to tell me?", I cried barely audible.
She slowly nodded.
"I'm sorry Diane", she whispered.
I clenched my jaw hard balling my hands to fists until my nails sunk into my palms and slight blood lines were visible.
I hold my breath and left the room running down the hall and crashing into my room slamming the door shut.

I started packing my stuff into my suitcase, clothes were flying through the air as all that you could hear were my sobs and silent screams pulsating through my mind.
My mom knocked the door, "Diane may I come in?", she asked carefully.
I let myself sink to the floor right infront of the suitcase, "What?", I cried wiping my eyes...
