Cold Beds

To me it was clear, I had to talk to him no matter what.
Sliding out of the sheets of my bed I rummaged in my stuff box trying to find his mail address.
"Where he hell is this sheet of paper?", I groaned silently to myself.
Rolling my eyes I opened my laptop in order to look for my last mail.

There it is!
Pressing the enter button I smiled copying his mail address.

Dear Michael,

I wasn't expecting your interview to break those walls of mine like that.

And I truly want to talk to you as soon as possible to clear any mistakes.

Let me know if you're free the next days and I'll find a way to see you again.

I took a deep breath shutting down my laptop screen.
Oh boy, life isn't easier when you're grown up.
Digging my fingers into my hair I remained to sit on my desk a few more minutes until I crawled back into my now cold bed.

Michael's POV

Breathing out I put down the headphones walking out of the recording room.
"Hey Mike is everything alright?", Teddy asked looking over the edge of his dark sunglasses.
"Kind of", I shrugged with my shoulders.
"Mike what is wrong?", he stood up from his desk leaving his paper half written.
I remained silent for a few seconds.
"Have you ever loved someone more than yourself?", I mumbled looking at him.
"Sure thing man", he smiled.
Slowly shaking my head I sat down next to the mixing desk.

Feeling his hand on my shoulder, "If it hurts that much you should go and get her, don't sit here drowning in self doubt", he spoke and I felt honesty in his words, he really knows how to lift up my mood.

"You're probably right".
"Of course Mike", he giggled, "If you have trouble getting any lady just ask me!".
Knitting my eyebrows together, "No I don't wanna 'Get Her', Teddy", I rubbed my temples.
"I hurt her feeling badly and I want her back in my life, there's no love if she's not here".

Grabbing my coat I turned around, "Don't mind Teddy but I have to get my mind off, I'll see you", I said and walked out.
"Okay Mike, see ya", he waved getting back to the half finished song he was writing.

Walking along the beach I breathed deeply as memories of Diane came back, it brings tears into my eyes as I noticed what I've done as suddenly my phone rang.

"Jackson", I answered.
"Yo Mike I have a mail here you should check!", Teddy was calling me from the recording studio.
"What do you mean, Teddy?", confused I asked.
"Just come back, and see yourself...", he said and hung up.
I just wondered what he meant and walked back to the studio.

"I'm back, what's the matter?", I said hanging my coat on the hatrack.
"Look", he demanded pointing with his finger in the direction of his laptop.
In disbelieve I read the mail.
"Diane...", I whispered under my breath.

"Teddy just do me a favour and tell Rod and the other guys that I'll be back at Friday, I have something to make clear".
"And what about the album?", he asked standing from his desk.
"We have a release date going on".
"I know but this is more important", I explained grabbing my phone as I walked off.
"Mike wait you can't leave now..", he yelled, but I already walked through the door, making my way to the airport.
I can't lose her again I told myself.

Diane's POV

I towel dried my hair as I walked out of the bathroom.
Taking a large breath I put my hair into a loose bun as I opened my laptop just to see that there's still no responds.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my trainers for a quick walk in the forest nearby.

Two Hours Later

As I returned home I heard my mom talking to someone in the kitchen.
"Ok I understand", she said walking along the kitchen counter.
"Yes, see you bye".
"Hey mom", I smiled entering the kitchen.
"Hi honey", she greeted my sweaty self and hung the phone back into the phone case.
It seemed like she was thinking about something as her smile grew bigger with each second.
"Is everything alright?", I asked looking at her as she almost broke her cheekbones by grinning.
