The next morning, I woke up to someone closing the door to the room. I sat up and saw that Jake, Jade and Cecily were all still asleep, but Ion's bed was empty. I got up quietly and followed him outside.
"Ion, where are you going?" I asked. He turned and frowned.
"I want to see why the cheagles would take food from a village." I nodded.
"I'll go with you; I would be worried if you went all by yourself." He smiled and we went together to the Cheagle Woods. I looked around at the overgrowth of plant life around us. "This is really an incredible place for cheagles to live." Ion nodded smiling.
"They have to live in places like this for food, so why would they take food from the village." That's when several monsters appeared around us.
"Great, just what I needed in the morning; a workout." I started meditating for my arte. "I got all I need when I got you and I, I look around me and see a sweet light..." A light rained down from the sky and blasted the monsters away.
Ion looked at me grateful that he didn't have to use his Daathic Fonic Artes.
"Thank you, Zora." I smiled lightly.
"Are you two alright?" We turned and saw the people who were in Rose's house yesterday.
"Tear and Luke. Yes, we're alright, thank you." I answered. They looked between the two of us before Tear spoke.
"So Fon Master why did you disappear from Daath?" Tear asked and Ion looked down.
"I think that can wait don't you all think? I know you must have come here for some purpose." They looked at me as if I had said something insulting.
"Your Van's sister aren't you? I've heard so much about you." Ion stated looking at Tear.
"Sister?! Then why did you try to kill him?" Luke demanded loudly.
"Kill him?" I wondered out loud. That's when I turned my head as the bushes rustled nearby. A small blue creature with big ears came out of the overgrowth.
"What is that?" Luke asked.
"It's a cheagle." Ion stated and Luke started chasing after it. I looked at Ion and Tear as we all started to follow Luke into the forest.
"You all are too slow, it got away." He said arrogantly. I sighed and felt a headache coming on from this annoying boy.
"Their nesting ground shouldn't be too much further in." Ion said smiling at Luke.
"How do you know that?" Luke asked.
"Cheagles are sacred to the Order of Lorelei." I answered and Luke looked at me annoyed.
"I wasn't asking you, I was asking Ion. And who the hell are you anyways?" He said bitterly and I wanted to punch him.
"My name is Zora, I am the one and only daughter of his Majesty Emperor Peony the Ninth." He froze along with Tear.
"I never realized that there was an heir to the throne in Maluth." She muttered.
"Yes, I'm aware. No one outside of Maluth knows of my existence other than the king of Kimlasca. Forgive me for asking, but are you two perhaps from Kimlasca, I mean if Tear is really a solider for the Order of Lorelei then I wish to know about you Luke. I mean you don't peg me as the type to follow orders, so you're not a solider, but you have that royal air about you that just screams 'notice me,'" Luke glared at me.
"Perhaps that can wait until our errand is finished." Tear stated and I nodded.
"You're right forgive me." I looked ahead and saw a giant tree looming over us.
