The next morning after an uneventful night of sleep I followed Arietta and Legretta up to the bridge to see Van standing there. He smiled as we walked in.

"Morning ladies, I'll give you your assignments before the boys get up knowing them they'll be asleep a little longer." A smiled lightly, knowing this was for the best. Sync and I need some time apart so we could both think.

"Zora, I would like you to and watch Jade the Necromancer and his group." I nodded.

"Have fun, Zora." Arietta said and I walked out of the room. I looked up from my feet to see Sync, Asch, Largo and Dist coming towards the bridge.

"Hey Zora, where are you heading?" Asch asked.

"I've been given my assignment. I'll see you guys." I took off running towards the edge of the ship and jumped off. My hair and outfit changed to black; I flipped on to a nearby cliff and looked back at the Tartarus to see Sync and the others staring at me shocked.

I knew exactly where I needed to go, the capital of Kimlasca, Baticul.

A week had passed since I had set out on my assignment and I was finally in the capital. I just hoped I wasn't too late. I headed up to the castle, the guards stopped me as I reached the castle doors.

"Who are you?" They asked.

"I'm a friend of Fon Master Ion's I wanted to know if they were here with the king?" I asked lightly.

"They are currently in an audience with his Majesty. I ask that you please wait outside for them." I nodded and went to sit on one of the benches. My hair changed back to normal along with my outfit.

After what felt like forever I heard Ion's voice and Jade's. I jumped up and turned.

"Zora, what are you doing here?" Jade asked concerned.

"I'm sorry, I thought I could convince Arietta to stop what she was doing if you would have just let me talk to her but she wouldn't listen...so I ran off before they could notice." I looked at the ground letting fake tears appear in my eyes.

"Did they hurt you?" Ion asked. I shook my head no.

"They wanted my Goddess Fonic Hymns, but I don't..." Jake and Cecily came over to me.

"It's alright, you don't have to be afraid. We won't let them hurt you." I smiled at them lightly.

"Thank you." I felt bad for lying to Jake and Cecily, since they have been my friends since I was a child, but I had no other choice. This was for my mother and sister. I looked at Guy, the blonde haired boy who had rescued Ion at the Tartarus, I hadn't recognized him but now I knew for sure who it was.

"Well if it's alright with Jade then would you want to come with us?" Guy asked Jade.

"It's fine with me." Jade said still looking a little on edge with me suddenly appearing.

"Thank you, I promise I won't do anything stupid like that again." He nodded and we set out for our hotel for the night. I laid down in my bed in the room I was sharing with Tear and Anise.

"So what did they do to you?" Tear asked me finally.

"Nothing, they just wanted me to use my Goddess Fonic Hymns, but I lost the ability to use most of them after my mother and sister were killed." Anise and Tear looked at me concerned.

"Your mother and sister were killed? By who?" I looked down at my hands as I sat up clenching my fists in my lap.

"When Hod fell, my mother and sister were there to meet with the person my sister was supposed to marry...but I blame the engagement more than I blame the fall of Hod. I meant the fall of Hod was part of the Score, but if my sister had never been engaged to this man then she would still be alive along with my mother. Everything revolves around this god damn Score." I felt sick to my stomach thinking about my mother and sister.
