Jade's POV

When we had landed in the Qliphoth I was surprised to see we had all survived even that idiotic Luke who was the one who destroyed the Sephiroth. I got up and brushed off all the dust and everything. I looked around at our current situation. Thankfully the Tartarus had fallen with us and we could probably ride that around here, but where were we going to go.

"Jade, you're alright too." Guy said coming over to me.

"Yes, it would appear so, but I can't believe that..." I trailed off unable to finish the sentence. He was thinking the same thing as well, so there was no point in saying it out loud.

"Yeah...I know. But I would think that he wouldn't have been so stupid and reckless, but he really has done it now..." He said and we looked at Luke, who was finally coming around.

"Tell everyone to get on the Tartarus when they are ready." I walked on to the ship and started messing around with the controls when everyone finally filed in. Luke was dazed and confused.

"So Ion you were with Van when everything happened, would you care to explain?" I asked him. He nodded and looked at Luke.

"Someone had already opened the door to the Sephiroth, which worried me, but when we got inside nothing was out of the ordinary, until Van ordered Luke to use a hyperresonance to neutralize the miasma, if I had known he was going to use it to destroy the Sephiroth tree I would have done something. But something confused me...more than Luke destroying the tree..." I looked at him as he trailed off.

"What was that?" Guy asked.

"Well, Zora shielded me from the power coming from the hyperresonance. Van seemed surprised by it too when she came out of hiding in the shadows. She protected me from getting hurt, but no Luke..."

"Probably because Luke was part of the plan whereas you were just there to open the door, but again if someone opened the door then who?" I wondered out loud.

"I think it was Zora..." Ion said lightly and looked at me. "She was the only other person in there. Which means she's been studying how to open them without the need of a Fon Master, which means we are going to have a lot of work to do in order to stay on top of Van and his plans. But I could see she was drained. She looked exhausted mentally and physically. It must take up a lot of power for her to do that, which means she wouldn't be able to fight back if we caught her right after she opened one of the doors." I nodded thinking about the possibility of running into her when she was opening one of the doors.

"Then we need to start thinking of a way to get her out of Van's hands before he has her open all the doors." I said and everyone nodded. Well everyone except Luke, who was looking at everyone shocked.

"Are you all saying that this is my fault?" He asked finally as we all started to head into the bridge. "Master Van is the one who told me to. It was Master Van's fault..." That's when I finally felt the anger getting to me.

"I'm going to go before he says something that angers me more. Think about what you've done." I walked past him and into the bridge. I couldn't believe the nerve of that idiotic boy, he killed thousands and he was blaming others for his actions. He could have chosen a different path, but instead he chose to destroy the Sephiroth due to Van's influence over him. I have lost all respect for him.

"We should head for Yulia City, it's where I'm from. It's to the northeast of here." I nodded and started the Tartarus.

Ion's POV

Finally, we were coming close to Yulia City. I just kept thinking about Zora, Luke and more about myself. I mean if I was no longer needed then...no I had to think about what was going on now. I have to help the others in whatever way I can.

"Zora, I won't let you keep doing this..." I looked at Jade as I said those words to myself. "There's someone here who really cares about you and I won't let you keep hurting yourself and others. You were born for greater reasons than to be Van's puppet." I stood up as we landed next to the city.

"We should all get inside quickly before the miasma does anything to us." Tear said and I walked along side Anise and Jade. I followed them to the mayor of the town's house. The mayor just so happened to be Tear's grandfather.

"Fon Master Ion, how have you been?" He asked me as we walked in.

"I wish I could say I've been better, but I'm not here to chit chat, we need to know about a way to get back to the Outer Lands." I explained.

"I see, well we will attach a fon machine to the Tartarus, then go back to where Akzeriuth was and the Sephiroth should appear one last time and allow you to ride it back up to the Outer Lands." He said and I smiled lightly.

"Thank you."

We'll finally be able to go back to the Outer Lands and find Zora. I can try to convince with the help of Jade and the others to get her to come back to us before it's too late. She can still help protect this world with us. Her Goddess Fonic Artes could bring back the land that has been lost and she could probably save the lives of the people who had once lived there. I had read that in a book somewhere that those Fonic Artes could heal the entire planet if the one who wields them so chooses.

"We have to get back to the Outer Lands, whatever it takes." I said rising from my seat.

"Ion?" Anise asked confused at my determination.

"I'll explain later, right now we have no time to waste. We have to go now."  Everyone nodded and followed me to the Tartarus. Tear was staying behind seeing as she was from here and Luke was still here. She had brought him back unconscious and said that he was knocked out by Asch, which made sense.

"Ion, what is it you wanted to tell us?" Anise asked once we were all on the Tartarus.

"Zora, she must not realize this, but her Goddess Fonic Artes can bring back the land that has fallen and all the people who have died on them as well. She could destroy the miasma too, she just has to will it too and know all the Goddess Fonic Hymns. If she does that then she would be able to bring the world back to the way, it uses to be without war and no fear of the Score. She could destroy that as well. The Goddess did come before Yulia after all." Everyone went wide eyed, even Asch.

"How do you know all of this?" Jade asked.

"I read it somewhere in a book in the library if only I could show it to Zora, maybe she would begin to understand the life she could create for everyone, she could have her mother and sister back if she truly wanted them back. Maybe that's why she forgot how to use the Goddess Fonic Hymns, she lost hope that the world could be changed and so she started to hate the Score and all the people on earth. Maybe that's why she is refusing to listen to reason from any of us..."

"Well we're going to have to knock some sense back into her now aren't we." Anise said smiling brightly.

"You're right, Anise." I nodded smiling.

"Then here we go." Jade said and the Tartarus started moving.

Hang on, Zora. We're coming to save you.
