I walked out of my room. I stopped at the top of the stairs. Remembering to breathe. I then walked downstairs. I smiled as Joe came into view. Jessica had a camera in hand, Brad was saying something along the lines of 'they grow up so fast.' while Rebecca and Jennifer fake cried and snivelled wiping non-existent tears. We smiled for a few pictures and even moved around for a few different scenes. We also took a few group shots. I smiled as we walked past the mirror. I was wearing a layered white dress with a plunging neckline matched with pearl necklace. I also had on a pair of nude stilletos. Joe had on a skinny tie with a white button up and a black blazer and pants with formal shoes. We were just leaving the door when Calvin jogged up to us. I groaned and sobbed internally. My mouth stretched into a thin line and I shot him a pleading stare. He just shrugged his shoulders. Joe promised to take care of me but Calvin had a job to do and refused to slack off.
Anyone call for a Buzzkill Bill cause you can take my awkward date crasher anytime.
Joe noticed my change in emotion. He put his arm around my waist and we sped up a little. Calvin seemed to get the message and didn't pick up, but he was on major alert. We laughed and he shared stories of things he'd done in his more rebellious days and recent things. Things with the whole group before I'd joined. Things with.... Owen and Crystal. I sighed as I thought of the time I'd had with them. We told each other jokes and when we reached the restaurant. Which we had walked to. Luckily it wasn't that far or my feet would be dying right now. We told each other jokes and laughed thoroughly enjoying ourselves. It was a quiet romantic restaurant and I was touched he'd managed to find such a beautiful place for our first date. Calvin was a table away from us which was super respectful and made my heart swell in gratitude towards him. I respected him and his professional behaviour a lot more than I thought I would. Joe spoke most of the time while I ate my food silently. While I observed. I had started by observing Joe but then I'd noticed how nervous he got and how cute it was. He told jokes I noticed because he was scared of silence. After the waiter had come it was a little quiet. Not that I minded. He started fidgeting with his fork and trying to keep an unfazed demeanour. I laughed and that put him back to his suave as I started the conversation. We ate in a comfortable silence. We got up and paid. We then decided to walk around the little festival the town was having. It was filled with games rides and multiple food items. We bought large ice creams which I'd insisted on paying for since he paid for dinner. He tried to say no, but the money was out my purse before he could do anything. We finished our ice cream by the edge of the boardwalk. I had kept my eye out for Calvin making sure not to lose him. A part of me was still worried about Luke and his promises concerning my friends. We walked hand in hand. We managed to bargain our way into getting a hold of these flutes of an alcoholic beverage. We posed for a pic with the glasses which made us feel super fancy.

We then drank up. We decided to take a sweet stroll on the beach. Walking hand in hand. My heels in the hand he wasn't holding. I curled my toes In the sand feeling its cold touch vibrating through my skin. I shivered. Luke laughed. "No jacket?" I shook my head. "I had to give you the opportunity to live out our perfect cliché." He smiled. "Well when you put it like that." He said using my words. He then took off his blazer and wrapped it around me. I smiled. "You do know for all in terms and purposes I now own this blazer." His jaw disassembled from his chin and launched to the floor. "What. No. That's my favourite one." He said trying to snatch it back but I dropped my shoes and ran. His warm coat around me. Eventually I got tired and sighed dramatically droppingmyself to the floor. He fell to sand next to me and laughed. "Great now it has sand on it." He whined playfully. We lay facing each other. He put his hand under my head and the other on my hip. He then leaned in and placed a soft sweet kiss on my lips. Our hearts dancing to the beat of the same drum and our tongues following the same pattern. I loved how slow... passionate and caring this kiss felt. Like it was conveying real emotions. Real happiness. We made out for a while never rushing to remove items of our clothing, but still feeling the same intense passion. We looked up at the stars for a while after our wonderful make-out session. When the harsh, stinging wind finally became unbearable we rushed off the beach in the direction of the house but not before I grabbed my shoes and in the process almost lost his coat. He shot me a shocked look as he realized he could have lost it forever. We laughed but not for long as we were getting sand in our eyes and mouth. We arrived at the house a little breathy we tried to dust off as much sand outside but it didn't work and my hair was beyond repairable. We entered the house and immediately I spotted Calvin. I noticed that he looked to have been here for a while. He was drinking coffee and seemed to have been doing his job at a respectful distance. I liked that he'd given us space but felt he'd had selfish motives for entering the house. I felt a little uncomfortable not having been completely safe in that wheather. I realized my paranoia was only calmer now that someone was obliged to keep me safe. Though I'm not sure either of us realized the seriousness until after two deaths and me having a creepy heart breaking conversation with Luke. "What are you thinking about?" "Nothing. Just tonight." A half truth. He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Thank you for letting me take you out." I blushed. "No thank you for taking me out. I've never had a greater time this date really was phenomenal." He smiled cockily. "Just call me Joe phenomenal Hawkins." I laughed "Don't you mean. Joseph Av-" he quickly clasped a hand over my mouth, preventing me from saying his middle name.
"Don't. Say. It. Every time you do, somewhere out there a baby dies." I rolled my eyes and muttered drama queen as he removed his hand. "What was that?" "Nothing. Nothing" I said innocently. He gave me a hug and said goodnight. I walked towards Calvin. "Thank you." He looked at me and frowned. "For what?" "For giving me the space I needed while still looking out for me. For effortlessly being a great bodyguard whether I call you a buzzkill or not. And for just being a great friend." I said the last part shyly not knowing if we had actually gotten over our liking on a good note because of our arguments but playfulness at the same time. He finished his coffee and put the cup down. He then turned to me. Emotionless.
"And thank you to you Juliet for not rubbing your new happiness in my face, for not letting him touch and kiss you where not long ago I touched and kissed you. For not hurting me or stringing me along. For not dancing and getting high while teasing me. Thank you for not making me watch you in the arms of another. Thank you for not making moves on me when we were getting to know each other." He said sarcastically, but he wasn't done venting. "Thank you for making me see the reason the words bitch, slut and whore were created." He then walked off in the direction of his bedroom his passionate moment of anger still radiating off him.
