Chapter 8
"What the fuck are you talking about." I said through gritted teeth trying to stay calm and keep my voice low.
"First of all, langauge. Second of all, this is not up for debate. I didn't say would you like a bodyguard I said that this is your bodyguard. Now wherever you were planning to go you're lucky I'm still gonna let you go, and all you have to do is take Mr. Roberts with you, everywhere you go."
I groaned internally and sent her my dirtiest glare. I didn't say anything although I definitely had lots to say on this topic. Knowing my mother she would probably make me stay here and not go to the party if I ran my mouth too much.
I stormed out the house making sure to hurry out as fast as possible.I rushed up to my porsche keys in hand. When I felt a strong hand pull me back roughly as I was about to open my car doors. I yelped at the sudden pain in my shoulder. He gave me a skeptical look as if to say, I didn't pull that hard. And in return for that I sent him an ice cold glare. "What now." I replied my tone still icy. "I have to keep you safe remember." "So?."
"I am obligated to make sure that there is no one in the car without your permission and that there are no active bombs in your car. Now step back." He said as he grabbed my keys and unlocked the car cautiously, he then leaned in through the drivers seat and started to check inside. Once he was done with that he lowered himself, his rear end facing the road and I even got a glimpse of his toned abs when his shirt lifted a bit. I smiled, one thing San Diego most definitely isn't lacking is boys.
When he finally finished making sure the car was safe he got into the drivers seat and stared at me expectantly. I raised an eyebrow. "You know that there's no way I'll never let you or anyone else drive my baby."
He just shrugged handed me the keys and got into the passenger seat.Wow! I really thought there would be some sort of argument, but I'm glad there was none of that and I just realised that I have been standing for more than thirty minutes in my six inches. I guess the only reason he offered to drive was because of my shoes.
"Umm.... you know it might be better if you drive." I mumbled awkwardly. He chuckled and swiftly shifted into the drivers seat. Again.
"Where to lil' lady." He said impersonating a cowboy, I laughed and quickly gave him the address I was probably about an hour late by now but I quickly texted my friends and luckily like most parties this would last till morning and it was only nine at night.
When we got to the warehouse it looked really dingy and dirty but I could see lights of all colours shapes and sizes and I could feel the loud music vibrating through every bone in my body.
We found a parking spot and I put my shoes on since I had taken off during the car ride.
We exited the car and as soon as Calvin had locked the car I grabbed my keys and shoved them in my purse. I then hurried into the warehouse. Unfortunately for me Calvin was very quick and was right behind me in an instant.
I was greeted by loud music and I could almost feel the music inside me. My heart rate sped up as the excitement of my first party in San Diego kicked in.
I frowned I couldn't see my friends anywhere. I looked around from the empty corner I had been looking from. I was completely mesmerised by the gorgeous blue and purple lighting flowing all over the room. There were even dancers in exotic outfits waving around a kind of material while standing on a platform so they could clearly be seen. Oh and the music. Amazing. I suddenly heard them start playing my most recent favourite song: talking body by Tove lo.
As much as I just wanted to dance I had to find my friends first. I shoved through the crowd of people dancing and grinding their sweaty bodies all over each other. I dodged as a shirtless guy passed me. I scrunched my nose as the alcohol reached my nose.
I kept walking on keeping my eyes peeled for my friends. I spotted a girl out of everyone in the crowd and she was dancing with a supercute guy her hair was blond and curled she looked like she just wanted to forget and she was partying just as hard. There was something about her that told me I knew her at some time in my life, but that's impossible because iv never ever lived in San Diego.
I hurriedly began to walk towards her but she was so far and people weren't so happy being pushed around.
I started running-half jogging to catch her because i noticed she had begun to move with her boyfriend at hand.
I followed and followed her and we were almost at the exit of the warehouse. When i tried to come up with a sensible reason as to why I just started following a stranger out of the blue.
Images I couldn't understand started flashing before my eyes of me and her. Crying over something, feeling fearful of something. My heart clenched and I felt a sharp pain in my chest. It felt so real as if I were reliving a memory.
For all I know I could be. Maybe that's where my memory loss comes from maybe she's the key to this whole mess.
We reached a stop and I grabbed at her shoulder. The girl turned around shocked.
