Obsession

Chapter 25

It's my birthday guys so here's your gift.

Calvin drove us to Joe's house first. It being the one he was most familiar. It was now seven o clock. I had tested Joe last night and he'd loved the idea. He actually helped me pull everything together so quickly. Since he knew more than me about the town.
I texted him we were here. I saw his door open. He walked out looking extremely suave. He was wearing black jeans. A grey button up shirt with a denim jacket and a leather black jacket.

We had already been squished with four at the back and with Calvin things were terrible. No one wanted to move to the back or the front so in the end we compromised. I sat on Joe next to Calvin in the front. I blushed when the girls gave me these looks. Calvin didn't even look at me. I was sad he was being so bitter but I brushed it off. He can suck it, I just wanted some real happiness.

We stopped at Brads' house. This time I jumped out surprising Joe. I ran up to the door and knocked. Brad knew. After he had promised to be my confidante outside my house I had spoken to him a lot. About the dreams I'd been having. Of my fucked up memory. He usually listened and helped me think of scenarios and ways to get Luke arrested. Needless to say we'd come up blank so far.
We hugged. I had obviously told him too. We walked to the car. He hopped into the back and I got back in the car. Finally we had everyone. Almost... I explained how Ray had refused. They all felt he would hate that he missed this,but we left anyway.
I smiled as the trees became more and the shop's and people got less.
Aaaaah the perfect escape.
I sighed in content. I was holding Joe's hand and resting my head on his neck. Calvin stopped the car. I looked up. We hadn't arrived yet.

I was about to ask when he beat me to it and answered my unheard question.
"It's not safe for you to sit like that and as my client your safety is my best interest."
I blushed and so did Joe.
I got out and Joe went to the back to sit with Brad.
Calvin started the car again and i got in closing my door. We drove and had a short distance left when the Sun started setting. I'd been pissed at Calvin the whole ride

"You guys don't wanna stop for dinner or something? " I asked. The wear a chorus of hell yeas' and obviouslys heard throughout the car.
"Okay,okay." Calvin pulled over at a nearby pizza parlour. We all got out. I told them I'd catch up and went to talk to Calvin. 
"You liked me. Can't you just respect that I'm happy." He frowned then laughed cruelly. "Firstly I like you. So much. You being with that..." He looked in the direction of Joe. "That's your choice. I put my heart out there and you chose someone else."
I rolled my eyes. "Bullshit! I pursued you and sue me i got tired of your to noble for her act' so I moved on. Don't blame me just because you couldn't grow a pair in time." I growled out angrily. "I like him... them. I'm happy. But you're not doing your job. Two of my friends have died. I can't bare to lose anyone else. This whole thing doesn't make sense to me. I barely understand never mind remember what happened. I need time. Time in the real world. Without bodyguards...." He shook his head. "I can't leave. Not now." I laughed. "God I'm not on a suicide mission. Just loosen up be friendlier. Please." I fluttered my eyelashes.  "Fine babe." He said smacking my ass. "Woah, woah too loose." "What? I'm practically Joe's twin right now." I rolled my eyes and shoved him. "Or should I be Brad ,with the hugs he receives." I puched him and replied. "Yeah you should be like Brad you're both my friends." I said emphasising friends. He shoved me and entered the door. "Hey. Ladies first I shouted." He snorted. "I know I didn't see any of those did you." I rolled my eyes and huffed playfully. Then I sat at the table next to Joe. Calvin sliding in next to me.
We ordered our pizza ate and set off on the road again. By nightfall we reached the Beach house Joe booked for us. It was huge. They tried to offer to pay me back but I declined. I actually planned to buy the house after this it was really beautiful. The shore was so close it was almost the porch. Exagerrating of course. We unpacked our small bags. I'd shoved all into a beach bag. While others brought a whole duffel bag like Joe. When we entered  And realized there were only four rooms. It had four en suite bathrooms which were huge. The beds were plush and inviting after our long journey but we still had to divide rooms. I decided Calvin as my employee couldn't be forced to share. So he went to a room to sleep. Jessica and Jennifer agreed to sleep together and me and Rebecca agreed too forcing Brad and Joe. They were completely chill about it though.
I got up to my room. After Rebecca and I had showered. We visited Jess and Jen and talked a bit about our bikinis and changed the conversation to what we'd be doing tomorrow when the boys arrived, we took a ton of elfies as a group and in pairs. Squad goals and all that.
After that we all parted ways and Joe and I were all alone in the hallway. We stopped at my door and I almost entered when he stopped me. "Are you trying to make me jealous. Of your bodyguard, of Brad, hell even of Rebecca. I can't do games. I just, I care okay. And I need--" I cut him off.
"No I'm not. I literally told Calvin were just friends and Brad is a close friend and Rebecca isn't my type."  I leaned in and kissed him. "Will you be my boyfriend?" He smiled. "Thought you'd never ask." We said goodnight and I entered and saw Rebecca. Holding all the phones. We'd decided to go device free enjoy each others company. I wanted to check my phone to see if my parents were worried. It slipped my mind to tell them out of fear of them saying no, but I'm sure they called Calvin.
I closed my eyes. My mind clear and happy. Rebecca turned out the light then she got in bringing with her a breath of cold air to cuddle with us. She whispered. "I don't play for that team either before. Turning away and falling asleep. I laughed. I liked her personality. Everyone was so different and yet full of spunk. And here I was fucked up beyond compare.
Maybe this friendship would straighten the creasesvib my life. I curled in the blankets and thankfully had a dream less sleep.
