Chapter Two updated and edited version! I trippled the word count! Enjoy!
P.S. I changed Prince Auden's actor from Alex Pettyfer to Chris Pine! I just watched the Princess Diaries 2 again and was like "OMG. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF HIM BEFORE??" He's perfect <3

I stomped, enraged, ahead of my family completely aware that they intended to follow me into whatever room I was heading to. Compared to my deliberately heavy footfalls, the sounds of nature became completely irrelevant and even seemed to take the hint that I was not in the mood for any silly bird’s song.
“How can you do this to me?” I yelled once we were within the confines of my bedchamber. “You did not even inform me of such a thing, let alone ask me for my approval!” I threw myself indignantly onto my bed and squeezed the life out of an unfortunate pillow that happened to be within my reach.
Mother had her hands clasped in front of her seeming to clutch them until her skin turned taught white. “We had no other choice, Evelynn. There was not anything else we could offer.” She said letting out a sigh.
“So am I just a possession that you can trade for your own benefit, Mother?” I said acidly. I tossed the pillow aside in frustration. Nothing else to offer? What a load of rubbish.
“No! Dear, you know that is not it!”
“Are you positive, Mother? Because I can recall that we do indeed own material goods that would suffice for payment. We could have given them money, land, or servants, or…I do not know!” I waved my arms around wildly emphasizing my disapproval. “We could have given them something that was not blood-tied to the Royal family.”
“Evelynn-” Mother began in a pleading tone.
“Daughter, this is as much for your benefit as ours.” Father interceded as he paced about the room.
“How does this benefit me, Father? I am going to be sent to the very people that wounded our country—our nation for what? The sake of peace?” I shook my head incredulously. “If this was for my benefit, you would not have traded me.”
Father snapped his head towards me and narrowed his eyes into slits. “We are not trading you. You will have a better life there then if we were to marry you to someone else.” He insisted.
I scoffed. As if they really knew what was better for me. After a life confined within the stone walls of this castle, I supposed they believed that anything would be alright with me. Seeing as I took that for eighteen year of my life, they thought anything would be astronomically better than being in a castle forever.
I cooled my head just a bit and spoke in a measured tone. “Perhaps, Father, if I was consulted about this plan beforehand I would not be so opposed to it. If you would have told me that I was being offered up as a hostage, then maybe I would be more willing to oblige considering the fact that I would do anything that was a part of my duty to this country.”
Father stopped in his tracks and turned slowly to me, like he did when I uttered something almost deplorable.
“A hostage? Where in the name of the Gods did you get such a ridiculous idea in your head?” He was border-lining seething.
I shrugged my shoulders with nonchalance. “Is that not what I am? I am being sent there to ensure that we never go to war again. Or at least to make sure that our side will never attack them in the future since they have me to bargain with.”
