Hi! So sorry for the wait again! :(

Oh, but I have to say something: i was thinking about how the rest of the story would go, and I decided that it would be too fast to have Lord Percy marry Evelynn in the morning (story time), so I changed the amount of time in the end! So those of you who have read it already, if you would just check out the time change, that would keep you from being confused after a few chapters!

And here is Chapter 29!

“Prince Auden! Prince Auden, please wait!” I called trotting after a storming Prince.

He scowled and increased his pace.

“Please, I need to speak with you!”

“There is nothing to say…” He growled. His fists remained tightened at his side, and he walked away stiffly.

“It is not what you think! I have an explanation for this!” I cried.

“I do not want to hear anything, Princess.” He spat.

“Please, just listen to me!” I lengthened my stride and came to the Prince’s side.

He sent one deathly cold glare in my direction then snapped his head back straight ahead. My face fell, discouraged, and I cast my eyes down.

Scrunching my brows together, I hardened my resolve. I reached out and hung onto the Prince’s arm. He came to an abrupt stop seeming to freeze at my touch. I glanced at his face and was overwhelmed with relief when his expression did not show any anger. Prince Auden stared straight ahead unmoving, but his brows were raised in hesitation. His lips were pursed into a thin line as if he was in thought.

I took this chance to try once again. “Prince Auden, the truth is—”

Suddenly, he tensed and balled his fists again. His breathing became faster and I noticed a glower appear on his face. When he spoke, his voice came out in a low growl, “You…betrayed me.”

“What?” I asked, not having caught his words. I tilted my head to the side in confusion.

He snatched his arm away from me and whirled around to place a glare in my face. “YOU BETRAYED ME!”

His voice echoed off the walls and reverberated through my chest. The sound left my ears ringing, and the rest of my body fell cold. “I…I did not.” I piped shakily.

“Oh, please, just cut the act!” He said exasperated.

I flinched, widening my eyes.

“You never accepted this relationship from the start.”

“I have!” I said defensively.

He took a pause and looked at me with disbelief. “How long will you continue to lie?”

“I am not lying! Will you please just listen to—”

“What is there to hear?” He looked at me with a chafe expression crossing his arms over his chest. “The way you always faked your kindness towards me? The way you so valiantly jumped in the path of that arrow to save my life?” His voice was riddled with such heavy sarcasm that it resonated through my core filling me with despair.

“No, I—”

“The way you made me fall for you?” His voice came barely above a whisper. Prince Auden raised his gaze up, his green eyes glistening with unshed tears.
