Hello! I'm SOOOOO sorry for the ultra late upload! I just have not been able to get myself to write this story for a bit. I started working on this other one, and then that's what I had been thinking about for the last few days. But, I sat down today with the determination to finish a new chapter! Haha.

Okay, here it is!

“Here drink this.” Rebecca, the physician, handed me a murky liquid in a clear, glass vial. “It will lessen the side effects of the drug you were given.”

I frowned as I held the small vial between my fingers. I had never been one for medicine. “What does it taste of?” I asked tentatively as my eyes swam over the dark green liquid.

Rebecca gazed at me in incredulity and let a small chuckle slip out. Her eyes widened in realization, and she quickly cast her face away in embarrassment.

I smiled. “It is alright. You may laugh.”

She let another giggle slip past her lips. As she turned her face towards me, her beautiful hazel eyes were turned up, and she held a fist to her mouth to hide it, but I could clearly tell that she was not holding back.

I huffed as a blush rose to my cheeks. “It is not that amusing…” I whispered.

“Yes, of course. Please pardon me.” She smiled. “As for your answer, I am not quite sure of the medicine’s taste, for I have never had to take it. But, I suppose it will be a bit bitter.”

I grimaced. Well, it is this or feeling woozy all day—she said the effects would last that long, so I had to take something to counteract it lest I want to stay in bed.

I popped open the vial’s top and brought the mysterious liquid to my lips. Instantly hit by the overwhelming odor, I thrust the vial away from my mouth.

“That is foul!” I stuck my tongue out in disgust. My grip loosed, and the vial almost slipped out of my grasp. Luckily, Rebecca snatched it up before it could spill.

She let out a breath of relief. “Milady, if you wish to get better, then it will benefit you to drink this!” She insisted.

“I stuck my nose in the air and snapped my head to the side in defiance.

“Force it in her.” A male voice said.

“But Milord—”Rebecca whispered uneasily.

“Rebecca,” he reprimanded, “just do as I say.”

She sighed and reached out for me. She took my chin and turned it towards her. Before I could let out a word of protest, the vile liquid ran down my throat until the container was empty.

As soon as I swallowed, I burst into a fit of coughs and gags, but the effect was immediate. My vision cleared quickly, and the light headedness I was experiencing vanished like it was never there.

I scanned my room for the male voice and found Prince Auden standing in a corner with an amused expression on his face.

I glared at him.

“What is this? No thanks again?” He piped in mock hurt.

The physician laughed at my expression and caused me to return my attention towards her again. Even though Rebecca must be at least twenty years older than me, I never noticed how pretty she was. Her blonde hair was still vibrant with color and her skin looked smooth and clean. She had a small neat face and her body matched. Her figure was very…graceful.
