I was going for the weekend and ended up being a little late...but in my defense, it was a 3-day weekend, so technically, I'm only a day late! But whatever! I got it done!
Here's Chapter 21! Please enjoy!

“You must stay for dinner.” Mother insisted.
“No, mother, it is too late. We must be returning now.”
“Evelynn, you must not have had anything to eat all day.” She pouted.
“I am alright. I will be able to sustain until we arrive at Tyron.” I said.
Prince Auden cut in, “Why not stay a little while longer? It is true that you have not had anything at all, Princess.”
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Just a moment ago, it was very late.” I muttered under my breath.
The Prince’s lips twitched with the hint of a smile. “It is more important that you get some nourishment. My mother will understand.”
I sighed in defeat. “Alright, if you wish.”
Mother clapped her hands together with joy and sent a messenger to the cook to inform him of the two added guests.
“You both should freshen up a bit. I am sure it has been a long day. Dinner will be ready soon.” My mother turned to me. “Eveylnn, you can use the basin in your chamber.”
My eyes widened. “Mother—” But before I could say anything, she was off.
I turned to the Prince and kept my gaze downward for fear that the redness in my cheeks would show.
“Follow me.” I led the way through that castle and towards me bed chamber. Along the way, I began mumbling, “Really, you did not have to stay for the sake of me. I would have been alright.”
“Oh, Princess, it is no trouble at all.” He replied haughtily. “This gives me a reason to spend a bit of time with your family.” He laughed.
I rolled my eyes. Thrusting open the large oaken doors, I made my way to the torch on the far side of my room and lit all of the others with it. As the room lit up, I was pleased to see that mostly everything was still the way I had left it. Then my eyes fell upon the Prince, I began to blush again.
He is in my chamber…
“T-the basin is over there.” I stammered, pointing to the washstand a few feet away from my bed. “If you would like, I can send for some warm water.”
“No, that is alright.” Prince Auden replied. He shut the chamber doors behind him and made his way to the basin. He splashed his face with cold water and reached for a towel on the stand. I watched the droplets fall from his hair in the dimly lit room. Prince Auden turned around with the towel pressed to his face, and I blushed suddenly realizing what I was doing.
“Are you not going to freshen up?” He asked dabbing his face and neck with the cloth.
“Ah, yes.” I cautiously made my way to the washstand, took water from the pitcher and splashed it on my face as the Prince had. Keeping my eyes closed so the water would not get in them, I groped next to the basin for a towel.
“Prince Auden, do you see any more towels on the stand?”
In response, the Prince placed a piece of cloth in my hand. I wiped my face with it wondering why it was a little damp.
“There was not anymore, so I gave you mine.” He answered.
I froze, and the towel fell from my hand. It landed on the floor with a soft rustle.
