Yay! New chapter! And it's a bit longer! Sorry for the delay! I'm already working on the next chapter, so I will get that one out as soon as I can, but I have this thing called "highschool" (I'm sure all you you guys get what I'm saying XD I.E. Homework) that takes up a pretty large chunk of time, so I'll do my best!

Enjoy Chapter 14!

I trotted to catch up to the other members of my group seeing that they almost left me behind.

He knows. I thought. I lied to him. He will find out that I lied to him and then I will never hear the end of it! Although I suppose it is my fault, but…

“Have you ever been horse-riding before?”

I looked up to see that Prince Auden had slowed his pace a bit and now walked along side me behind Lord Percy and Lady Amelia.

“Well, I have once with my brother, but that was when I was young. I sat in his lap as he took me for a short ride after my 11th birthday. I may have multiple more times when I was younger than that, but I do not think I have ever learned how to ride by myself.” I answered feeling happy that he would still speak to me after noticing the absence of my ring.

“I see. Then this should be an interesting experience for you.” He teased.

“I am sure of that.” I rolled my eyes and changed the topic somewhat. “Is this attire really necessary?” I indicated to my clothes. “I mean, Lady Amelia did not see it fit. She said that her own clothes would be enough.”

Lady Amelia is already familiar with horse-riding. We were both taught together along with Erin and some of my other companions. You, on the other hand, have no knowledge of horseback-riding therefore you must be in trousers until you learn how to ride with a dress.” He smirked.

I scowled momentarily, then replied, “I would not say that I have no knowledge, simply that I do not have enough knowledge. Besides, how difficult can it possible be?”

Prince Auden laughed at me. “Oh, we will see about that.”

I scrunched by brows together, stuck my nose up in the air with a hmph; I returned my attention to the path ahead of me and quickened my pace to get a few steps in front of the Prince.

I will show him just how capable I am!

I strode a couple of steps too far and bumped into Lord Percy who happened to be directly in front of me.

“Oh! Please excuse me. I apologize, I was not aware of myself.” I said hurriedly.

As I stumbled backward, the Lord caught my hand. “Are you alright?” He gazed intently at me.

“Ah, yes. I apologize once again.” I said looking away from his piercing green eyes as I tried to nonchalantly pry my hand out of his grip.

“No, no it is my fault for barring your path, Milady.” He smiled slyly.

I let out a soft chuckle laced with nervousness.

Just then, arms grasped my shoulders and whirled me around wrenching my hand out of Lord Percy’s grip. My face snapped around and met another pair of green eyes that bored into me with great intensity.

“Are you alright, Eveylnn?” Prince Auden asked.

“Y-yes.” I stammered shocked by his sudden use of my name. That was the second time he has ever said it, and both times, we were in the presence of Lord Percy.
