Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Colder

Up ahead I was able to see a titan with blond hair trampling over innocent people. I could feel my hands tremble and feet numb. Seeing how terrified I was, Levi rested his hands on my shoulders.

"L-Le-Levi!" I choked out

"We must get going." He answered as he was dragging me with him but we were shortly stopped by other officers.

"Commander Erwin, what is the meaning of this!" they called out to him.

Levi quickly turned me away as Erwin was talking to the soldiers.

"Cheoki, I need you to evacuate these streets. Make sure you get these people out of here." he said in a hushed tone.

"What about you guys?" I was very hesitant to move but Levi gave me a soft push, urging me to go on. I looked back at him as if this would be the last.

"Please, we need to guarantee the safety of these people. We'll be right here." With that in mind I saluted him farewell and ran off.

This all seemed very nostalgic to me, as I was evacuating people it gave me flashbacks. I saw myself in the village, evacuating all my loved ones and seeing my father father fight the titan. My mother, father, two younger brothers; where could they be?

It's been a while since I thought about them. I was slowly losing my real mission, that was to search and save my tribe. Finally, I was done evacuating the last house in this street. When I turned to the next corner I found myself staring at a huge ditch filled with debris. Under a couple of rocks was Eren.

"Eren! Eren! Hang on!" I carefully but swiftly ran over to him trying to lift the debris off of him. I wasn't strong enough to even make it budge. I laid my hand softly on his chest. Soft heartbeat.

"Eren, it's Cheoki! You have to get up! Please get up!" I began cry thinking about how this will effect everyone if he was their last hope.

"Eren! Eren! You can't give up now! Think about Armin and Mikasa!" I screamed at him. I grabbed his hand feeling his heat slowly fade away.

"Eren!! Please don't do this!!!" I fell to my knees feeling the vibrations of the female titan. To my surprise I felt his hand twitch. I immediately lifted my head as steam rushed through the air forcing me to let go. I felt the ground sink, I thought I wasn't going to make it out.

Out of the blue, I felt someone grab my waist and lift me into the air. I now had a perfect view of the Eren Titan.
