Five Months Later...
Killian's POV
Like I promised, I came by Emma's hotel every day. She never opened the door but I would talk to her from the other side. She would occasionally talk back, but mostly, it was just me.
I miss her so much it hurts. She's in her last month of pregnancy, and should be delivering any day now. I see her around town every now and then, but never talk to her. I just keep my head low and keep walking. I know she sees me but she just looks away.
I pull up to the hotel and get out. I knock on the door. "Hiya, love." I smile. "How are you and the baby?"
"We're fine."
"I know I've said this a thousand times, but can I just see you, please?" I beg. There's no answer for awhile until the door opens. She looks beautiful as ever. "Swan," I smile. She wraps her arms around me. I hesitate for a moment but soon wrap my arms around her tightly.
"In sorry, I just needed a hug." She pulls back.
"No need to apologize, sweetheart." I stroke her cheek. "I miss you."
"I know... I talked to Liam." She looks down.
"He didn't tell me he spoke to you."
"I asked him not too." She looks back at me. "Come inside, we need to talk." I walk into the room and she closes the door behind me.
"Swan-"
"I'm leaving." Tears slip down her cheeks.
"What?" I ask in shock. "W- what do you mean?"
"I'm moving to London."
"B- but what about our child?" I stutter. "She's mine too." I cry.
"I know, and you can see her whenever you want, I promise." She takes my hands. "I just can't stay in Drogheda anymore. Too many memories. Everywhere I go there's a picture of you that pops into my head and I just can't deal with that anymore."
"But, Emma-"
"Please don't. You'll only make it harder."
"Emma, please." I beg.
"I'm sorry-" she bends over in pain and liquid drips down her legs. "My water just broke." She says in a panicky voice. I grab her and sweep her into my arms. "It hurts." She hides her face in my neck.
"I know, I know. I'm going to get you to the hospital, alright?" I say calmly. She nods. I walk to my car and place her in the passenger side. I lay the seat back so she can lay down. I run to the drivers side and hop in. I drive as fast as I can to the hospital. I pick her up and run into the hospital. "Help!" Nurses come running to me with a wheel chair. I set her in it. "I'll be right there, okay?" I run my fingers through her hair. She nods. I kiss her cheek and they get her into a delivery room I take out my phone and call my parents and Liam.
"Hey, little brother."
"Emma just went into labor."
"What!? Okay, let us get a sitter for Portia and we'll be right there."
"Thank you. Could you call Mum and Papa for me?"
"Of course, now go see your girl."
"Thank you, brother, I owe you one."
I hang up and dash into Emma's room as Dr. Cathy Costello checks her."Hey, sweetheart." I walk to her and kiss her forehead. Beads of sweat drip down her face. She grips my hand in hers. "How far is she?" I ask.
