K.R.I.T
Four small letters that mean the world to me.
A motto used to give me enough pain so that a blind man can see
Who I am, what I'm doing and where I want to be.
My goals give me purpose and my inspiration gives me energy
And those four letters help me find who is in control of me.
If you don't know what it means, allow me to spell it out so you can see.
Just Why K.R.I.T means so much to me.

The fact that the k begins this acronym should show how much force it will bring.
K is for king.
Something every black man should want to be.
Why does it mean so much to me?
Because a king is what I was groomed to be.

R is the one we will always remember
R is the one that shows us our legacy
R is what sets us in the stone of history
R is what makes us be those of the world's fantasy
R is our past, present, and future; oh how blessed are we?

T is for time
Because times rules all
T is what makes R so hard to be
T gives everything meaning
T makes us see how these eight and nine years are the most iconic for our tree
The tree that took root in 2008 to have bloom in 2016
With me being a sapling and grew with this tree.
Haven't forgotten about I
But the thing is most unimportant in we is me

Those who can guess it know just what happens when you spell it out
The I is the bridge
So that the first seventeen don't have to stand on the ridge

With me being the voice for us, I hope I've made it clear to see
That this first seventeen was raised to be
The first true group of K.R.I.T
And for those who haven't quite caught the rhyme.
That we are kings. Remembered in time.
