Longing wait

The days go by

They drag or fly

At times it's fun

Most it's not

None are important

Only the day of your return

You left with my knowledge

It was sad too see you go

I cried but I knew that everything will flow

Time will go fast

We will meet at last

If its day, weeks, years

I await your return

Holding hands

We will reach new heights

We'll soar so high

We won't ever die

Our strength is enough

Nothing will get rough

The world brought us together

We won't let it be in vain

Make the most of it

The longing wait will be forgotten

The memories and prosperities

They will outdo those that are rotten

I keep telling you on the phone

I can't leave you alone

If you haven't left me,

Oh, how much glee we can be.

I know I won't let you out of my reach

You're the one, and only, who understands this grief.

You say it's not enough

So I'll show you how tough

These words can be.

Like steel or fire

Their strong to corrupt these miles

I can help penetrate our pains

As long as you heed these thoughts

And soon you'll be here

You know I have you in my mind

With your portrait in my bind

I get a sense of peace

I know that life is grave

I can't do rash things

I won't get killed today

The field is tough

Though it can't keep you away.

We'll Make the most of it

The longing wait will be forgotten

The memories and prosperities

They will outdo those that are rotten

Hi guys,

Same chizz message but I want to add as to the meaning of this (as I usually do but ... I think this one may come... Sharper to the heart ...?)

Umm well..

Long story short the best things in life come to those that wait but lots of people go through tough chizz and you may start to wonder why the hell you go through such hardships. Those things can either form you for the better or worse. Things happen for a reason.

However, if you guys can figure this out, I did create one stanza with the military in mind.

If you have a family member, are a veteran, currently part of the military; THANK YOU!!

I honestly have no idea how hard it must be but... Recently the idea to be part of the army has gotten in my head sooooo I was thinking about how different branches (like the marines or army) went to my school and I just kind of write about it in this poem...(emphasis on the kind of).

Also, writing this poem I had in my mind of 2 people reaching for each other. An entire stanza may belong to one person and the other stanza to another. Can you guys figure it out?
