Chapter Sixteen

Cemil's POV

Two days earlier

"Are you ready to go?" Liam shouted from the living room and I quickly sent the text to Zach.

"Yes! I'm on my way down." I shouted back and hurriedly put on my shoes then ran downstairs.

"You take too long than me to get ready and that's saying too much." Liam smirked at me.

I chuckled, deciding not to comment on it. It wasn't as if I was taking long getting ready. When he woke me up earlier, I somehow went back to sleep and woke up sometime later. I was quick with my bath and it took me a few minutes to get ready unlike him. But I wasn't going to tell him all that. I was safe having him knowing I took longer getting ready than that I slept again. He might throw water on me next time to make sure I don't sleep again and I don't want.

I got in the passenger sit and he drove us to his favourite place for breakfast. I planned to spend the day with Liam and make him forget about other things. He was a single man and he had to enjoy his singleness and explore other single people out there. I dedicated my self wholly to him with no undivided attention and I knew he loved knowing I was here for him. Charles was supposed to join us but something came up and he promised to join us next time.

I texted Zach to tell him I won't be texting that much with him today. It wouldn't be right if Liam saw me busy with my phone on our special day out.

"What do you want us to do?"

"I don't know Liam. Anything in mind?" I asked and he became silent for some time before he exclaimed.

"Yes! We could go shopping. I haven't been there for sometime and I think I need some changes in my closet." He smiled.

"That's right." I agreed as he pulled up in a parking lot. We just have to eat breakfast then we will be off to the mall for some shopping. He needed some changes in his clothing. A married man and a single man dresses differently. He needed to get rid of all the marriage type of clothes and bring in the single type of clothes.

Our day started with a plate of sausages, eggs, pancakes and cup of coffee. The drive to the mall was spent with Liam thinking of what to get and me writing it down so that he won't forget because it was a list of things.

The shopping started and I refused to get some new clothes of mine but Liam insisted and got me a bunch of things. I sat on a chair as I waited for Liam to try out some things. I took out my phone and checked if I got a reply from the morning text I sent Zach. Surprisingly, there wasn't a text from him and I quickly typed another and put my phone back in my pocket.

I was worried about Zach not texting me back two hours later when I checked my phone again.

Are you okay Zach? Please talk to me.

I sent the text and kept my phone in my hands. I was glad when it vibrated minutes later and I got a text from Zach.

I'm sorry I didn't text back on time Dearest. I have a busy morning with work and meetings but I promise I'm okay, I also miss you greatly. I hope you are doing fine with the shopping with your uncle. I'm sorry I worried you.
