Cemil's POV
I looked at the food on my plate and shook my head. There was a lot of food but all I needed was just two bites. I'd been eating just a little in the past two days. I played with the food to make the others in the room finish their food, so they won't see I didn't eat mine.
Today was my fifth day since I came to live in Jonathan's house. The day I arrived here, I decided that I'll stay home just like Jonathan suggested. I went to school the next day in order to clear up things for the two weeks that I'd not be there. Liam and his mate were no longer living here. They had gone back home, to the pack, to start a new life there. Liam left me in charge of his school since he didn't want to sell or close it down. So it was necessary for me to go and make sure things will be fine with my two weeks absence.
When I got to school on that day, some of the teachers commented that I gained some weight. If it was just one person comment, I would have brushed it off but it was more than one person. And the truth is, I also thought I was gaining some weight a week ago and had reduced and got mindful of what I ate. But it wasn't the same hearing from other people that I'm getting fat. And when the fifth person commented on it, I yelled at her. I got mad and the comments were irritating so I yelled at her to mind her own business.
When I got home, I found Lane at the house waiting for me. He told me that Kenneth had assigned him as my personal guard which also made me angry. Who did that alpha think he was by assigning me a guard? I wasn't a baby who needed protection. The funny thing was that I warmed up to Lane a bit faster than how anyone expected due to my reaction when he was introduced to me as my guard.
"You should eat a bit more." Benja whispered beside me and I ignored him.
Every time when I look myself at the mirror, I see just how much weight I gained and I didn't like it. In a week and few days from now, I would be doing the mating ceremony with my mate and I didn't want to look like a whale when that time comes. So I had a week to lose some weight and I didn't care if that meant little or no food for me.
Benja and me were the last to leave the dining room. I followed him to his room which was one of the places I frequently visited in this house. Lane was also with us and we all entered Benja's room then sat on his bed. The good thing about Lane was that he was a good friend as well as a good guard. Most of the times he was as a friend than the other.
"CJ stop starving yourself. So what if you gain a little weight on you. You are not looking any bad and my uncle wouldn't mind such a small thing as weight." Benja spoke up after a few minutes of silence in the room.
"I just want to flatten my stomach at least. I swear it's looking like I've swallowed a small ball down there." I told him honestly.
"Let me see."
"No I will not show you. It's embarrassing. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine without some food for just a week." I assured him with a smile but he still looked worried. I shrugged and stood up, ready to leave the room.
"I have something to do in my room. I'll see you tomorrow." I said to Benja and motion for Lane to leave with me.
"Don't tell me you are skipping dinner! CJ you had two bites for lunch. What kind of diet is that?" Benja shouted at me and I waved goodbye to him and closed his bedroom door. I chuckled when I heard him shout that he will tell his uncle that I'm trying to starve myself. His uncle is away for some business meeting and I don't think I was that important for him to cancel that and run to feed me.
"I think you should listen to Benjamin." Lane murmurs while we approached my bedroom door. I scoffed and ignored his words.
"Stay out of it Lane." I sighed feeling tired and need to sleep. "I'll rest for a while. Wake me up when it's time for me to exercise."
