Zach's POV

I drove for hours to reach the place where we were going. Cemil slept all the way there and I was worried about him because he didn't eat any food. There was no place to stop for food on our way and I could only hope to find some where we were going.

I approached a big gate and I stopped because it was closed. I got out the car to check if there was someone nearby to open it. The gate looked like it had been locked for years. It had wild plants over it and I had to remove some to reach the lock. It snapped with a single tug, probably because of rust, and I removed it and unwrapped the chain. I opened the gate wide enough for my car to pass through and went back to drive in. After getting inside, I wrapped the chain around the gate to keep it closed.

I was on my way to the car when my senses alerted me that something was here. I stopped walking and looked around, trying to find out what it was. I used my red eyes for better vision but i saw nothing out of the ordinary. On each side of the path were big thick trees; grasses and other plants covered the road but it wasn't really a problem because I could pass through with my car without a problem. Then I closed my eyes to concentrate on my ears to get something. I heard the crickets and other small animals sound but nothing bad.

I sighed and decided to get to the car but when I was about to take a step, I heard the sound of a twig breaking and I hastily looked in that direction. The wind chose that moment to blow by me and I caught the scent of whatever it was there. I barely saw the figure before I was harshly thrown to the ground.

I didn't have the time to get up when punches began raining down on me. Someone had pinned me to the ground while the other hit me. I growled in frustration because I couldn't get up.

"Z-zach. Zach!" I heard Cemil whispering my name but then he shouted in panic.

The first brawl had pushed me a bit further away from the car. I couldn't see what was happening to him but when he started shouting, I couldn't just stay still on the ground anymore.

"Get off me! Aaaaaaaah!" Cemil cried and it was that sound that gave me the strength to push off the two people on me.

My hands turned into claws and I felt the sting on my back as the wings came out of me. My ears changed and some of my teeth elongated. I looked at my boyfriend but he wasn't alone. Someone had his hands behind his back and one of their hands was around his neck. I thought it was a human but when they looked at me, I knew that thing was far from human.

Their pale skin shined with the light from the moon. Red eyes stared at me challengingly and he snarled baring his fangs at me. A warning growl came from me and he smirked as two more appeared behind him. I didn't move a muscle because I knew that Cemil was likely to be hurt by these creatures. I looked at him and he looked back at me, surprisingly his green wolf eyes were what I saw. There wasn't fear in them and I somehow got the message they were telling me.

Cemil attacked the one holding him and he yelped, releasing him at once. That was my cue to move and I did exactly that. I ran to him as he ran to me while the two checked their friend. I reached him and held him firmly but before I flew, I was sliced in the back.

"Get in the car and lock the doors." I shouted at Cemil and he ran to the car.

One of them wanted to follow him but I held him back and threw him to the trees. I cried out in pain when another cut was made on my back. I used my wings to push him off me and he hit the car.

"Oh shit." I mumbled in disbelief as the guy Cemil had attacked stood up from the ground. He removed his shirt and I saw as the cut on his torso closing shut. He snarled at me and then attacked.
