Zach's POV
(Memories)

It's been weeks since we teleported from home to this place. It's hard to be a leader and of teenagers at that. Some were being difficult and I just had enough to deal with. I have been trying to tell them what we had to do this week for both survival and protection but they gave been ignoring me. I sigh and walk away from the group for some needed alone time. I wasn't sure why my uncle would choose me as the leader. I mean, I knew either me Xavier had to be a leader someday, since he had no child, but I had always thought it would be my brother and not me.

"Hey."

I look up to who the voice belong and that's when I see Scar, standing a few steps away from me.

"Scar." I nod to her and she comes to stand beside me as we face down the hill. "What are you doing here?" I ask and she shrugs.

"It's not easy right?"

"Yes." I answer after some minutes. I am not in the mood for chit chat with her. She's a great person but I can't just mate with anyone that my parents chose for me. I made sure she knew that, to prevent any hopeful thoughts she might had.

"I just wanted you to know that I'm here for you. I'm pretty good at it than you. So if you need help to talk to them or shut them up to listen to you, just tell me and I'll help." She tells me and I sigh.
