Chapter 2

"Good morning Shelby, how'd you sleep last night?" Marcy asked me as she handed me a plate of food.

"Very well, thank you for the amazing room. I love it so much." I said as I sat down next to Ben.

"No problem, even though I'm a designer in clothing I can design a room." Marcy said and I smiled.

"Good morning." Nathan said as he came in and he had his shirt off. Holy crap!

"Good morning Nathan, eat up so you aren't late for school." Marcy said as she handed him a plate of food.

"Thanks mom, did Trey and Derek already leave?" Nathan asked.

"Trey left for early football practice but Derek is still here I think." Marcy said and then Luke walked in and looked at me confused.

"Who's this?" Luke asked as he got his plate of food.

"This is Shelby, she's gonna be staying with us for a bit while her parents are in Australia. Shelby this is my second oldest son Luke." Marcy said and I waved as he sat down.

"You're a sophmore right now?" Luke asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, but I'm in junior math." I said and he studied me.

"So your smart..." Luke said and I shrugged.

"I guess, but I'm not that smart." I said and Nathan scoffed.

"I'm in her class and she's the smartest one in there. You get a 100 on every test so I think your smart." Nathan said then took a bite of his pancakes.

"Maybe you can tutor Nathan over there. He's not the brightest crayon in the box." Luke said and then Nathan glared at him and I smiled.

"Boys, stop glaring at each other and eat up so you all can get to school. Derek, Nathan, and Luke you are taking Shelby to school." Marcy said and I put down my fork and covered my mouth with my hand.

"It's fine, I can walk to school it's not that far." I said to her and she shook her head.

"Nonsense, you three will also drop her off at her house after school for her to pick up her car." Marcy said.

"Okay, I'm gonna go get dressed." Nathan said and I finished my last piece of bacon and stood up.

"Thank you for the food." I said and then scurried off into my room.

I then went over to my closet and pulled out a white floral skirt and a black crop top then slipped on my white converse.

"This is a nice outfit for school, plus Marcy gave me this outfit yesterday." I thought to myself

"Hey Shelby, you ready to go?" Derek asked and I opened the door as I grabbed my backpack and nodded.

"Let's go to the worst place in the universe." I said and we walked downstairs and I see Luke and Nathan standing there waiting for us.

"Have a good day kids!" Marcy yelled and we all left the house.
