Chapter 9

"Sierra, please help carry the bags." Marcy said as she saw Sienna was sitting there doing nothing.

"Mrs. Parkston?" Sienna called out and Marcy turned around to look at her.

"My name is Sienna not Sierra." Sienna said.

"Sorry dear, anyway chop chop. Let's get these bags inside the house." Marcy said and we all started getting the rest of the luggage inside.

Once we all got our things inside it was time for room assignments and I honestly didn't want to get paired up with Sienna.

"Ben and Derek and Luke, you three are in the basement downstairs. Go knock yourselves out." Marcy said and they grabbed their bags and sprinted downstairs.

I just looked at Nathan and he smiled at me.

"They get to have the whole basement for themselves. Plus they have a projector with the video games downstairs which is one of the coolest rooms in the house." Nathan explained and I nodded.

"This floor will be Eric and Nathan and Trey, you guys have the room next to the kitchen." Marcy said and they grabbed their stuff and ran to their room.

"Bed selection!" They all yelled as they ran to the room.

"Nicole and Shelby, you'll be across the from their room." Marcy said and I nodded.

"Then Sierra and Bailey, you guys will be upstairs and we'll show you where that is." Marcy said and Sienna looked like she wanted to scream at Marcy.

"I'm so glad I got you to be my roomie." Nicole said and we opened the door and the room was huge! It had 2 queen sized beds and 2 vanitys and it even had a little porch area. It was decorated like the beach and I loved it already.

"What bed do you want? I'm fine with any of the beds." I told Nicole and she smiled and chose the bed that I thought was a regular bed but I sat on it and realized it was a water bed...

"Haha, nice choice." Nicole said as she set her bag on her regular mattress.

"Come on, let's go and see how Trey, Nathan, and Eric are going." I said and we walked across the hall to see them arguing.

"You got that bed last time!" Trey complained.

"Trey, your the youngest butt out. You automatically get a twin bed." Eric said and he just glared.

They had a twin bed on one side of the room then a queen bed in the middle and then another twin bed.

"Eric, I should get it because you always get that bed." Nathan said and then Eric started glaring.

Then we just a whole mess of words being shouted and I sighed...

Nicole then whistled and I've never heard someone whistle so loud and I was right next to her which did not help me ears.

"You three shut up!" Nicole said.

"Seriously, are you guys really like 3 years old?" I asked them and they sighed.

"Okay Trey and Eric get the twin beds and then Nathan gets the queen. Next time Trey gets the queen and then the next time Eric gets it. Okay?" Nicole said then left the room.

"Yes!" Nathan said then started dancing around and I sighed.

"You guys are ridiculous..." I said and left the room to see what was happening in the living room.

"Luke! That's not how you do it!" Ben said and groaned in frustration.

"Little man, I don't understand the point of this..." Luke said and I giggled at him.

"Shelby!" Ben said and got up from the floor and ran over to me.

"Hey little man, what's the problem?" I asked him.

"Luke isn't playing the game right! Can you please play with me?" Ben asked me and I smiled.

"How do you play Headbandz wrong?" I asked him and Luke just shrugged.

"What's going on?" Nathan asked and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I looked up to see him.

"I'm about to play Headbandz with them, you wanna play?" I asked him as I sat on the floor and grabbed the box.

"Sure, why not?" Nathan said and Ben clapped in excitement.

"Shelby? Where are you going?" Nathan asked as I came into the living room.

"I'm going to go for a jog real quick." I said and he nodded then got up and kissed my cheek.

"Be careful and don't push yourself too much." Nathan said and I nodded and I left the house to go on my jog.

I reached the beach and I sighed and smiled at the sight of it and the smell of the saltwater tingled my nose a bit. I checked my fitbit and saw I jogged for 5 miles.

"Shelby? Shelby Wilson?" I heard someone ask and I turned around to see one of my good friends named Gabe.

"Gabriel Logan Holler!" I said and hugged him.

"It's been so long!" Gabe said and I released him from the hug.

"I know right! How have you been?" I asked him and he shrugged.

"I've been okay, so what are you doing here in Orlando?" Gabe asked me.

"I'm on vacation with my boyfriend and his family. I haven't see you ever since you moved here." I said and he nodded.

"I've been doing things here and there but I lost all my contacts and had no way of reaching you."

"Shelby!" I heard someone call and Nate came running towards me.

"Nathan, what's wrong?" I asked him and he signed trying to catch his breath.

"It's Ben, he had an allergic reaction to something and he's been sent to the ER." Nathan said and my world just stopped and I was about to fall but Nathan caught me.

"Mom!" Nathan said as we ran to the family and Marcy had tears streaming down her face and hugged Nathan.

"Where's dad and everyone else?" Nathan asked her.

"Derek and Bailey went to that art museum so they're heading here right now. Luke, Trey, Eric, and your father are trying to get back here as fast as they can from the docks. Then Sierra and Nicole went to get their nails done so they're gonna finish that and head here." Marcy said and I sighed sitting down next to Marcy.

"Mom, he'll be fine." Nathan said and hugged Marcy again and I sighed holding in my tears.

I felt arms wrap around me and I saw Nathan and smiled then hugged him back. I sighed trying to relieve all the stress and pressure from this.

"He's gonna be okay..." Nathan said and kissed my cheek.

"Yeah, little man's stronger than steel." I said with a sniffle and he smiled at me.

"Mom!" I heard someone yell and we looked to see Derek sprinting over to us and Bailey trying to keep up.

"Derek!" Marcy said and hugged him and Bailey caught her breath and sat next to me.

"Is he okay?" Derek asked us.

"The doctors are doing some tests to figure out what caused it but they're also trying to help the allergic reaction calm down a little." Marcy said and I sighed.

Not Ben... Not Ben.
