Chapter 3

"Shelby, what are you doing? Go get dressed!" Marcy said and I looked at her all confused because I honestly didn't know what was going on.

"Luke's graduation is today, now go get dressed!" Marcy said.

"Wait, I'm going to Luke's graduation today?" I asked her and she nodded.

"You're apart of the family now and because of that your Luke's sister so you gotta go cheer him on." Marcy said as she helped me off the couch.

"I don't know what to wear!" I said as she pushed me to my room.

"I already laid down an outfit for you its on your bed!" Marcy said and I sighed and walked over to the bed.

I looked to see a gorgeous white dress with a lace detailing on top and a sweetheart neckline. Then at the waist of the dress there was a silver belt and I loved it.

I quickly did a simple yet glowing makeup look and then quickly curled my hair. I nodded an approved look at myself in the mirror then slipped on the white dress and then put on a pair of my favorite sandals.

I then looked for some accessories and I put on my favorite necklace that my dad gave me when I was little and then put on my arrow ring. I grabbed my purse then went out to the living room to see everyone chit chatting.

"Shelby! You look amazing!" Marcy said as I went down the stairs trying not to trip.

"Thank you so much." I said then hugged her and she smiled at me.

"Alright Luke, Nathan, Ben, and Shelby are in mom's car while Trey, Derek and I are in my car." Matt said and we all went into the garage and I got in Marcy's mustang.

"Luke Parkston." The principal announced and the whole family screamed and so did some of Luke's friends.

"Luke graduated with all A's and played varsity basketball for the Jaguars. He is headed off to the university of Illinois on a basketball scholarship." One of the counselors announced as he went up and got his diploma and I smiled at how everyone was so happy for him.

The names just kept on going until everyone had their diplomas and the last name was called. Then the Mr. Tyson our principal got back up there.
"Congratulations class of 2016, you did it!" Mr. Tyson said and everyone cheered as they threw their caps up in the air.

"Marcy enough pictures!" Matt said and Marcy has been clicking away with that camera.

"I need to capture every single moment of his graduation!" Marcy said as she was crying.

"Marc, you're a mess right now..." Matt said as she sobbed.

"I'm so happy for him but that's another baby leaving us to go off to college." Marcy said as she sobbed and I smiled.

"Luke's leaving too..." Ben said upset and I sighed and hugged him. He was already in my lap because apparently I'm his new favorite, sorry Nathan.
