Charlotte, Al and I just stared at each other for a few seconds, Charlotte and I with surprised, wide eyes and Al with a look of utter terror. Good, I thought, he should fear me after he knew I had Jasmine's ticket to come here and he knew Charlotte won the prize. I was fuming.

"What're you doing here, Palmer? You know these are supposed to be prize winning seats," she gestured to the area around her like it was so important that I knew exactly where her territory was.

"Yeah, seats twenty two," I gestured to the actual seats that no one was sitting down in instead of the entire circumference around where Charlotte was standing. "And twenty three. I'm in seat twenty four," I gestured below me to show that I was standing in my designated area, not hers.

She scoffed indignantly, probably because she couldn't think of a comeback. "How did you even get tickets this close to the stage? You're fucking broke." Oh of course, it was just like her to bring my home life into this whole thing.

"For your information, my mother has a well paying job now but it's none of your business to know where my money comes from anyway!" We were already shouting to be heard over 'You Don't Love Me Like You Should,' but my tone was laced with anger at the end of my sentence making me sound fiercer. More confident than I'd ever been in front of Charlotte before.

We stared each other down for a few more seconds.

"Well then," Al clapped loudly, startling us a bit, "I'm off to go to the rest room, don't wait up." What a gentleman. Leave me here alone with the bitch why don't you.

"Well, it looks like we're sitting together," Charlotte looked down to smooth out her skirt so she didn't have to look me in the eye.

"Yeah," I replied shortly. Then, I did the unorthodox for any concert-goer: I actually sat down in my seat. I sat down in my seat, put my head in my hands, and thought to myself this is going to be a long night.

While I wasn't able to enjoy the rest of the opening act, my enthusiasm returned when 5sos came on stage and started right in on playing 'She's Kinda Hot.' I've never actually been to any concert before, let alone a 5sos one, and the whole experience was surreal. Ashton got all sweaty and crazy on the drums just like I always see him in pictures, and he really does make all those faces! Even the midst of the two people who hated me most, I managed to smile all because of seeing 5sos.

After the opening song, they said what's up to us and then jumped right into VooDoo Doll. Michael's scream was so loud it gave me a headache, but it was a good kind of headache. I was screaming and jumping along with the rest of the crowd. Maybe even me, quiet little Lacey Palmer would have started moshing I was that excited, but 5sos just isn't that kind of band. Maybe Jasmine could get me tickets to Falling in Reverse or something so I could try it!

After the first two songs, the boys regularly stopped to chat with the crowd and said some pretty silly stuff. They don't kid around when they say 'derping since 2011.' The rest of the set consisted of Vapor, Rejects, Safety Pin, Broken Home, and, surprisingly, Mrs All American. I didn't even know they played that one live. I guess they did If You Don't Know while they were in Amsterdam, so they're trying to try new things this tour or something.

"...You're not gonna walk away." The song ended and Ashton came out from behind the drums to say something.

"Alright guys, that's it for the first set but we're coming back out after this intermission." The crowd cheered, and I went along with them, even though it wasn't really a cheer worthy statement. Anything to get Charlotte and Al off my mind.

During the show, I sat towards the left wing of the stage, kind of watching the boys from the side. It was really loud though, and really close up, so I could see everything they were doing really clearly.
