Cass POV

It was saturday. the day of my first competition since my accident and the day that James was leaving for university. i had my Silverado with the trailer hitched to it and James had his Camaro with all his belongings packed into it, ready to leave as son as i land the last jump. as if i wasnt nervous enough about the show, the nerves and anxiety about living on my own began to kick in as well.

Janie ran over to me where i was by the stall that was reserved for Smokey. she was holding a camera and looked excited and a bit mischievious. "no Janie. no pictures." i told her.

"im not taking pictures," she said. she tried to hold back a smile, but failed. "im filming it."

"what!" i shouted just loud enough to startle my saddled horse.

"Harry wants to see it."

"you talked to Harry?" i asked getting a little jealous.

"well sorta. i was talking to Niall and he mentioned how Harry was saying that it would be cool if someone filmed your competition so that he could see it later. then i texted Harry to confirm it." she smiled and turned the camera on, "say hi to Harry and the boys!"

i rolled my eyes and shitfted my weight to one foot. " hey you guys bettter love me. i hate it when Janie takes pictures of my shows, let alone filming them." James ran over to me and told me that i had ten minutes until i was put on the spot. i checked Smokey's feet one last time before i warmed him up in the flat ring provided. when the time came, i entered the main arena.

there we stood, i on my horse in my white breeches, black pasture boots, and white button down shirt with a black show jacket. and Smokey standing tall and proud. the announcer introduced us, "now its Cassandra Nelson on Fire Dancer."

i kicked my horse and advanced to the first jump. this was the moment where two hearts merge into to achieve the same goal. "ride the sky," i whispered to my horse. we flew over the first jump with ease and the rest of them were a breeeze; so easy that it almost didnt seem real.

Janie POV

Cass did amazing! and i got every single glorious second of it. i promised Harry that i would email it to him as soon as we got home. i ran up to Cass and jumped in her arms, engulfing her into a hug. she didnt know, but Harry had wanted to call her after so i texted him telling him that she was done. they hadnt schedualed to talk to each other until this eveing. it was 1:30. Cass would be so excited to hear his voice.

I tried not to let out the surprise as i talekd to her, "you were phenominal! you annihilated it! you are getting that blue ribbon for sure!"

"phenominal? i doubt it."  she chuckeled then took a deep breath. "god i felt like i was going to vomit."

"but you didnt. you fucking killed it!"

"thanks Janie." she said. "james left already, just FYI. I just hope that he cna take care of himself considering i took care of him for the past seven months. i will be fine on my own, but there was one thing i wanted to ask you..."

"i will be moved in by tomorrow." i smiled as Cass' phone rang i  her pocket.

"oh my god! its Harry!" she answered the phone. "babe, i thought you had an interview?"

"i will let you two talk and take care of Smokey for you." she nodded to me. i think i did a good job helping Harry surpirse Cassandra.

Cass POV

"babe, i thought you had an interview," i said excitedly. i nodded at Janie as she left to take care of my horse.

"i did," Harry answered on the other end of the call, "but i wanted to call and congratulate you." i could sense that he was smiling.

"awe thanks baby."

"how was it?"

"nerve racking. i felt like i was going to throw up. but i didnt, just to be clear."

Harry laughed lightly, "well im glad you didnt."

"its so good to hear your voice Harry. its comforting. im still a little shakey from earlier."

"its good to hear your voice too, Cass. and you will be fine. just take deep breaths."

"i know, its just... i miss you. a lot. i miss being in your arms," i confessed.

"i miss you too," he started, "i want nothing more than for you to be here with me." he paused, " we have three more weeks and i know that will go by fast. and when the boys and i leave again, you and Janie are coming with us."

"i would love that, but who will take care of Smokey?"

"Janie said that she would take care of it."

"Janie? what do you guys talk about behind my back?" i asked a little angered, revealing my jealousy.

"do i sense a hint of jealousy?" Harry asked, probably smirking.

"No!" i said back defensivly.

"yes you are," Harry cooed.

"shut up Harry." i said. the line went silent for a few seconds as i realized what i jsut said. i have never told Harry to shut up before. i only ever did it playfully, never ever seriously. my heart began to race as my mind wondered what he was thinking. i couldnt believe i said that to him. i quickly apologized, "Im sorry." i said it quietly considering that i was shocked at myself.

"its fine," he said. i could still detect a littl hurt in his voice. "the only thing that Janie and i tlak about is you. we plan suprises for you together. you have nothing to worry about."

"okay," i said softly. i was very disapointed in myself for getting upset at Harry. "i have to finish with Smokey."

"alright, Sweetheart. i will talk to you tonight. i love you."

"i love you too." i hung up the phone and went to help Janie with Smokey.i really did hope that those three weeks went by fast becuase i miss Harry immensely and i need him by my side desperately.
