Jealousy

Lucy's POV

I heard all that they said through the door of the bathroom. I couldn't help but feel a tight feeling in my chest when things went silent.

What's going on? Why are they silent?

It hurt me. Natsu had all these feeling. All these memories. And he didn't tell me a thing about them. He's always acting so tough and I don't know what's do about it. But Mio. All she had to do was come back and talk to him and his thoughts spill like a waterfall.

I was jealous that she could do that so easily.

Suddenly, I slipped. Causing a bottle of shampoo to fall off the shelf. I quickly opened the door and went back out to the room. They were standing close. Although they tried to scoot away a little. But I saw.

What happened?

I put on fake smile before we headed for the Guild Hall.

Mio's POV

As I walked, Natsu was next to me. Telling me about how he ended up at Fairy Tail and all the adventures he had been on, while I told him mine. Lucy's was walking ahead. I could tell she was annoyed about something.

"So Lucy!" I called. "How did you meet Natsu?"

She turned around and slowed her pace.

"Well...I guess it started in Hargeon. I had always dreamed about being in Fairy Tail, so when I hear that 'Salamander' from Fairy Tail is in Hargeon I just had to meet him. It turned out that he was a fake who basically kidnapped women. He would use a charm that made ladies believe him and fall in love with him. He would take them to his boat then sell them off."

"That's sound terrible. So how does Natsu fit in?"

"He came because he heard someone was pretending to be him and giving him a bad reputation. So he came and managed to break me free of the spell. Then, after I ended up getting on the boat thinking I could stop him myself, Natsu came and kicked the shit outta him and saved me. As well as all the other girls." She explained. "So I thanked him by buying him dinner. Then he heard me saying about wanting to be in Fairy Tail so he invited me to join."

"Wow. That sounds like quite the adventure."

"And it wasn't the last." Natsu smirked.

"Mhm."

That conversation seemed to put a smile on her face. Good.

We soon made it to the Guild Hall, where Happy and Hikari were waiting.

"How long does it take you to walk?" Hikari complained.

"Well sorry that we can't fly like you." I replied sarcastically, earning a snicker from Natsu and Lucy.

We all walked inside to see an unusually large amount of people gathered around the bar. We walked over to see them all talking to their Master.

"Ah! Mio you're here!" Levy smiled. "Just in time. We wanted to ask you something."

"Umm...what is it?" I questioned.

"Well, you helped Lucy win the contest the other day. And it's clear that your magic and strength is amazing too."

"So?"

"We want to hear what your singing voice sounds like." Juvia stated.

"What? Why? Why do you wanna hear me sing?" I panicked.

"It would be something to do. You saw everyone else's talents, we wanna see yours! Other than your magic that is."

"Umm...I...I dunno."

"Come on." Lucy encouraged. "It'll be fun."

"I don't why why you're so nervous." Natsu stated bluntly. "I mean you always sang when we were kids."

"NATSU!!! THAT WAS-"

"You sounded really good too. Like, amazingly good."

"Still though...that was when I was a kid and when the only people around were you and Igneel." I grumbled. "Not in front of a crowd."

"Come on." He smirked, putting a hand on my shoulder. "It'll be great to hear you again."

Idiot. If you keep acting this way then...damn it.

The door swung open to show Sting and Rogue with their Exceed, Lector and Froche. As well as some girl.

"Hey guys. What's up?" Sting greeted.

"Hey guys. What are you doing here?" Lucy asked.

"We were just taking a walk and thought we'd drop by and say hi."

"Well, Mio is about to sing for everyone."

"Really?" Rogue questioned, looking at me.

"Eh! Well I haven't agreed but....I guess I could give it a shot."

Rogue carried on looking at me.

"W-what is it?" I asked.

"...did you change your clothes? And you're hair. It's more purple. And the blue at the bottom looks darker too."

"Hu? Oh yeah. I did. Mira let me sleep at hers yesterday rather than under the tree. She gave me a 'make over.'"

"Hm..."

He looked like he was trying to find the words to say, but before he could say another word, Mira dragged me away to the stage.

Everyone ran to take a seat. Lucy, Natsu, Sting, Rogue, Levy, Gajeel, Erza, Gray, Juvia, Wendy and Mira all sat at the front with anticipation. While all the others say at tables behind them.

"Umm...well...I guess I'm being made to sing. So...yeah. I'm gonna sing now."

As if you couldn't be anymore awkward.

I took in a deep breath and started singing.

Only when I finished did I realise that I was crying. The whole room was quiet. Nobody moved. Until, there was a huge wave of cheering. Everyone stood up and clapped. Even Natsu seemed amazed.

He jumped up on stage with me.

"That was amazing! The difference between now and when we were little, if I didn't know any better I wouldn't be able to stitch it as the same voice."

"Thanks." I smiled.

I hoped off of stage and was hug tackled by Lucy and Levy.

"That was beautiful Mio!" Lucy complimented.

Although her smile was wide, I could tell she was upset. Natsu had done with me what he didn't with her. He had ran on stage and publicly complimented me and boasted. I could tell she was jealous. Since I came back, I could tell that he had started drifting back to me.

"That was amazing. I never knew you could sing like that."

"Natsu was right when he said you could sing." Erza added.

"But she sounds even greater than she did back then." He told them.

"Guys. It's not that big a deal."

"If you say so. But it was still wonderful." Levy stated.

Then, as everyone was still cheering and talking about my performance amongst themselves, there was a huge roar.

We ran outside to see the dragon from before flying over head.
