Natsu's POV

I didn't know what was wrong with me. All I knew was then whenever some guy came remotely close to Mio I got angry. Like I sometimes felt with Lucy.

Wait...could I actually...? It would make sense. But I thought I only felt like that to Lucy. I'm so confused.

I sat with my head in my hands. Mio had organised it so that a fight wouldn't break out. I was sitting on one side of the cave, Lucy about a meter away from me. Sting, Rogue, Yukino and Mio were on the other side. But Mio was opposite me. The twin dragons and Yukino were opposite Lucy. We were in dead silence.

I looked around with my eyes. I looked at everyone. They also had their heads down. I felt sorry for yelling at Lucy. Sorry for making Rogue feel like I hated him. For upsetting Mio. I felt terrible.

"Guys, I-"

"Save it Natsu." Mio snapped.

"..."

What do I do when she doesn't even want me to speak.

"No. I wanna apologise."

"..."

"Rogue, Sting. I'm sorry for starting an argument and acting like a total asshole to you two." I told them. "Mio, I'm sorry for getting all jealous and starting fights for stupid reasons. And Lucy..."

She looked up to me, eyes slightly red.

Did...did she cry?

"I...I am so, so sorry for yelling at you. You did nothing wrong. I just go so over emotional and-"

"It's okay Natsu." She cut. "Really. Don't worry about it. I'm fine."

Then why were you crying? Huh? Don't lie to me...I don't like it when you lie.

We went back into silence. I heard Mio stand up and start to pace around.

"What's wrong?" Rogue questioned her.

"There's a dragon out there. We haven't heard from the others. And it's silent. It hasn't come to attack us or anything." She stated. "Why?"

"Maybe it's waiting for us to come to it." Sting suggested.

"Or waiting for me to go to it..."

Mio's POV

I hated how we were. We were silent, and I hated it. So I had to think of something to talk about.

"Mio. We aren't gonna let it get you." Lucy reassured.

"Thanks."

My eyes drifted to Natsu. He still refused to look up. I was still pissed at him, but I couldn't stay like that forever.

Screw this.

"Okay." I sighed. "It's obvious there is tension in the air due to earlier, and we have to face it sooner or later."

"So what are you suggesting we do?" Rogue questioned.

"We talk about it. Why Natsu got pissed at you. Why Lucy was clearly upset and on the edge crying earlier and why I feel so fucking confused to shit."

"Why are you confused?" Sting asked.

"Right. I'm going first then I guess-"

"No." Lucy cut. "I'll go first."

We all sat and listened to what she wanted to say.

"The reason I was so upset was because Natsu yelled at me. I know you apologised but it still hurt. It was the first time you actually yelled at me out of anger. Rather than to protect it warn me. Or because you wanted to take a fight on by yourself."
"I know. Now..." Natsu began. "...the reason I'm so angry and agitated is because...I don't know what I'm feeling. Jealousy? I guess. Like...one minutes I'm having fun with all you guys, but then when Rogue got close to Mio I...I guess I just started feeling jealous. Because we've been friends for so long I guess I don't really want her to be friends with any other guys."

"Why guys in particular?" Sting questioned.

"I can answer that." I butted. "It's because both of us are confused about how we feel about each other."

"What?" Lucy said, a look of confusion on her face.

"Basically, my minds telling me I like Natsu, Lucy's mind is telling her that she likes Natsu, and Natsu's brains is saying that he likes both of us." I said bluntly.

Everyone went wide eyed. Natsu and Lucy turned red and they all looked at me as if I had told them the secret of the universe.

"So...how do we sort this out?" The white hair girl, who I learned was Yukino, asked. "We can keep having fights because of it."

"You have a point. But there's no way to solve it." I sighed. "All I know is that I just want Natsu to be with Lucy."

"Why?"

"Because, Natsu may not realise, but those years we sent apart were spent just goofing around. That was it. But he's grown closer to Lucy than me. He throught the I was dead and so began moving on. He detached himself from me and latched to Lucy." I explained. "Also, the amount of adventures they've been on. They've pulled together in the face of death and survived. That's something we never did. You two together have been through more than we have. You've grown closer while I...I drifted away."

"But..." Natsu tried to find an argument. But couldn't.

He knew that being apart for those 7/14 years had pulled us apart. We weren't as close as we used to be.

"...I guess I have to admit it though." Lucy said in a small embarrassed voice. "Now that I think about it, looking back on everything...I guess I have always liked you more than a friend. But never knew it."

"Lucy..." Natsu sighed, not knowing what really to say next.

The Sabertooth memebers just watched as everything played out. Not daring to say a word.

"Well Natsu, you might as well go with Lucy. I mean I may like you but that doesn't mean I'm right to like you. I mean hell, I just know you as that stupid little kid that play-proposed to me when we were little." I blurted.

Natsu went wide eyed.

"I TOLD YOU TO NEVER SPEAK OF THAT AGAIN!" He screamed, face red.

"S-sorry. Just trying I lighten the mood."

Suddenly, Lucy butted out laughing, crying.

"Hahaha! You actually did that! Wow! I really wanna hear more of what you were like as a kid." She joked through her laughing fit.

We had all started laughing and eventually managed to calm down. Natsu had even started laughing with us.

"Maybe another time. When we're, you know, not being hunted by a dragon."

The place went calm again before Lucy jumped up.

"My keys!" She yelled. "They're not in my belt! I must have dropped them when we ran!"

She then ran towards the entrance of the cave.

"What? You ant go now! The dragon could kill you!" Natsu objected.

"I don't care! I am not leaving them behind!"

Without another word she ran out.

"Lucy!" He screamed.

We stood in show for several seconds before I snapped out.

"NATSU WHAT THE HELL?!?" I yelled.
"Why you yelling at me for?!?"

"You love Lucy don't you?"

"W-well yeah. I guess."

"THEN GO SAVE HER!"

"Okay!" He smirked, before dashing out into the forest.

Suddenly there was a huge roar. We saw flames cascade and spread across the sky.

"It's the dragon. Get ready to run!" Sting ordered.
