Mio's POV
No no no no no! Not again!
We all stared up at the dragon, flying over Magnolia and towards the mountains nearby.
"What do we do?" Lucy questioned.
"What else? We beat the crap out of it!" Natsu replied.
"Natsu we just can't-"
He cut me off by grabbing my arm and pulling me toward the hills.
"Mio!" Levy called.
Rogue started running after us, followed by all the others.
"Come on Mio! Let's go defeat that thing!" He smirked.
"...okay."
I started running with him towards the mountains. We ran through the town, out into the forest.
"Guys! Stop! Wait!" We heard Lucy yell.
We stopped running and waited for the others. They soon caught up and doubled over panting.
"How...can you....run so much...and not be...tired." The white haired-girl, who was with Sting and Rogue, panted.
"Sorry. I guess we just got caught up in the excitement of a fight." I apologised. "Let's all sit and rest before the fight."
"What?!" Natsu yelled. "We can't do that! I wanna fight now!"
"Natsu." I started, holding his shoulders, to make sure he didn't dash off. "You can't go rushing off alone. You may think you can handle it alone, but not this dragon. This thing is greater than any other enemy you've faced."
"Fine." He pouted, dropping to the floor.
"You seem to know a lot about that dragon." Rogue stated, walking up to me. "Mind telling us?"
"...okay."
FLASHBACK
Hikaru had just left to get me some more Lacrema as my magic was low. We had come up with the system of her doing this alone about a year ago. This was the second time she had to go out. We decided to make her go alone because when I get low on magic I am usually very tired.
So I was sitting at the trunk of a large tree, in the shade away from the Suns burning rays. It felt nice relaxing. The gentle breeze combing through my hair.
Then I saw it. A huge shadow drift across the sky and land not too far away.
What was that?
Then I started hearing large footsteps. If you could even say they sounded like feet. As whatever landed got closer, I could see the suns light reflect off come thing in the bushes. It was claws. Huge claws. The thing that was coming to me, was a dragon.
I froze. Scared. Soon, the dragons head was in view. Black with red stripes and eyes. Horn that started black and slowly faded to maroon then to blood red. It caught sight of me and let out a roar. It struck down all the trees in a 10 mile radius. Leaving me with nowhere to hide.
No. This can't be happening! I can't die! Not now! Hikari....I promised I would wait for her.
And him. I REFUSE TO DIE BEFORE I SEE HIM AGAIN!
Instinctively, I jumped up and started running. It followed behind. I tried opening a portal with my magic to get me a greater distance away, but proved pointless as the effort only made me weaker. Causing me to run slower. Then, I tripped. The dragon was looming over me. In my terrified state, I did the only thing I could. I popped my last Lacrema into my mouth, swallowed and allowed the magic to be absorbed into my body.
