Lucy's POV

I cracked my eyes open slightly.

Shit I fell asleep! I hope Natsu's okay...

Just then I realised, I wasn't sitting on the floor anymore. I was warm, and laying in a bed. It was dark, but I managed to see through the darkness, only to see Natsu's face centimetres from my own.

I immediately felt my face heat up. Both due to embarrassment and the small flames Natsu produced out his mouth as he breathed. He looked kinda...cute.

What are you thinking?!? He's your friend! Keep to the matter at hand here!

I slowly went to reached for his head, to see if he was okay. But then his hand grabbed mine outta nowhere and stopped me in my tracks. I could feel my heart beat faster in my chest.

"Lu...cy..." I heard him mumble.

Is he awake? Or dreaming...about me?

He managed to somehow squish us closer. I could barley breath right.

What is he doing? I can't just stay like this.

I let out a sigh before gently shaking him.

"Natsu. Natsu wake up."

He shuffled a little before cracking his eyes open.

"Oh. Hey Lucy." He greeted in a small husk tone.

"Uh... Hi. How are you feeling?"

"Better. Thanks to you."

"O-oh. You're welcome..."

It was dead quiet. I could hear Happy sleeping at the bottom of the bed.

"Hey...about why I was acting weird earlier..."

"Shh. Get some more sleep." I sighed.

"But-"

"No Natsu. You need to get better for tomorrow. We need to catch up on jobs." I smiled.

"Yeah. Night."

"Night."

As soon as Natsu fell back to sleep I got up. I felt his head again. His fever had gone down a lot. I quickly made some soup and put it somewhere warm. I quickly scribbled a note to tell him where it was before I left for home.

I quietly opened my door and locked it before getting into my own bed. It felt significantly colder. But that was probably because I didn't have a living radiator in it.

The next morning was bright. Next to no clouds in the sky. It was warm. I got out of bed and got dressed. I decided to put on my sailor-type clothes as I hadn't worn them in a while. I hooked my belt with my keys around my skirt loops, slipped on my shoes and headed out the door.

I hope Natsu feels better today. Maybe I should go see... No. If he is he'll probably be at the Guild Hall by now. Let's hope so...

"LUCY!" I heard a voice yell out.

Just as I went to see where the voice came from, there was a flash of pink and a figure dashed outta nowhere and crashed right into me.

"Ow." I groaned.

"Heh. Sorry about that." The familiar voice laughed.

"Natsu. Heh. I see you're feeling much better today." I smiled.

"Yup! Now let's go get a job! I owe ya after yesterday. You're rent ain't gonna pay itself."

He then grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the Hall. We burst through the doors and everyone looked at us.
