Probably, it's from my annoying alarm clock. I did what I usually do to stop the annoying noise from my annoying alarm clock. . But my hand did'not find that same place where my alarm clock usually stands. And the ringing did not stop either.

I had to pick it up before I get completely annoyed.

I glance at the wall clock at the east side of the room. It's 3:25 in the morning.

"Asan ka?"

I heard my caller growl.

"Nasa opisina."

Narinig ko naman siyang bumuntong-hininga.

I managed to look at my surroundings, I realized I wasn't even alone. Marami-rami rin ang workaholics dito sa mundo.

"Just we thought you are."

"I fell asleep."

"Again."

I rolled my eyes and laugh a little.

"Para kang si Nanay."

"Pwede ba! Huwag kang mag-ala superhuman diyan sa opisina. Magkakasakit ka niyan. So do as what I say, get your workaholic butt off that office at umuwi ka na!"

"Give me an hour I'm almost done with this."

I ended the call and continued to work with my presentation. I am really almost done with it. And, I couldn't afford to not finish it. It's my biggest account. I could pull this off. I started packing up my things.

I opened my phone and discovered it was out of battery. That explains the phone-being-completely-silent.

"Bubugahan talaga ako ng apoy ng dalawang 'yun."

After packing everything up, I pulled my hair up into a cute bun and made a run towards the elevator. Good thing the office was 24/7 awake. I arrived at the apartment after an hour so I still got more or less 4 hours before work.

Nakatira ako sa isang unit kasama sina Xel at Yssa, mga matatalik kong kaibigan. Dahil mas matanda naman sila sa akin, they decided to act as big sisters to me. I was like a rebel younger sister to them these days.

"Ano ba naman 'yan!" I heard Xel's almost-cracking voice. And Yssa's murmuring about something I couldn't understand.

Umiiyak ba sila?

I found them in the living room, in front of the television which is now playing the credits of the movie they just watched.

"Mga baliw."

As I announced that I was there, they turn they're gaze towards me and I confirmed they were really crying over a movie. Ano namang bago 'dun? :D

"You're so late, Zu! Hindi mo napanood 'yung movie!" Yssa exclaimed while sobbing.

"Napanood ko na 'yang The Judge."

"Ano ba 'to! Ayaw tumigil ng mga mata ko sa kakaiyak!" Xel said while wiping the tissue in her eyes habang ako naman napakamot sa ulo ko habang pangisi-ngisi. I could passed they're craziness this time because the movie was worth the cry.

"We better get rest. Kayong dalawa, stop whining about the movie. I'm going to crash in bed."

Yssa was still crying and Xel just stared blankly at me. I've got a bad sense that she'll start nagging about me-being-so-workaholic and me-missing-movie-time so I hurriedly went upstairs and prepared for bed.
