1.20. The Secret Roller-coaster Love

Ivan and I decided to not go in public with our relationship to avoid bashing crazy fans and cult of paparazzi.

Our first date even turned roller-coaster the minute when I accidentally put myself in the middle of Ivan's hysterical fans' cat fight. I got a lot of finger scratches from those fans and unending scolding from Ivan about staying inside the car when situation like that happens.

"Sa susunod kasi makinig ka sa akin, huwag matigas ang ulo. Tingnan mo na ang nangyari!" he nagged.

I just stared at him while grinning. He look so adorable being busy with my scars and scolding me at the same time. 

"Hey! You're not listening to me?!" he exclaimed.

I grinned and reasoned out, "Because you're distracting me!"

I massaged the lines all over his forehead and said, "Hey, you don't have to worry."

I just smiled and continued massaging. His facial features relaxed and he asked again, "Are your arms really okay?"

I smiled sweetly and nodded. "What the hell, Azura! Stop smiling like that or I'm going to kiss you right now," he dared.

I slapped his face a little and grinned, "Don't you dare kiss me!"

I continued smiling.

He grinned and said, "Try me."

I frowned and rolled my eyes. He chuckled and said, "Good girl!"

Our relationship has been going smoothly and it was better in a more private set-up. Pero hindi talaga namin maiwasan na may mga bagay na sumusubok sa aming relasyon, minsan pa nga mga mahahalagang tao sa buhay namin. Tori has been around but she already told me that she knew her place and she don't want to cause ay trouble to us. Naomi has been a threatening enemy in the foyer these days, hindi ko na nga lang pinapatulan ang mga tantrums niya.

At tama nga naman si Ms. Kho marami akong kailangang gawing adjustments sa buhay ko para makapasok sa mundong ginagalawan ni Ivan. Gaya na lang nang pag-attend ng party na puno ng iba't ibang tao mula sa elite class at ang makipagsundo sa kapatid niyang hindi ako gusto.

While everyone's having a good time, Molly's dancing with some gentleman; Yohan and Asher were talking with a number of ladies; Aimee and Sky were dancing like tensioned lovers in the dance floor and that I wondered why. I bumped into Ivan's cold brother in the party celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sky's parent. The party was what I expected it to be. Business men, models, celebrities, all big people in different areas in the society were present. I really felt and I know I didn't belong in this kind of event. But I did not expect to meet Ice West in the party without Ivan by my side since he was always being dragged around all the time. I was left alone dealing with his cold intimidating brother.

"So you're my brother's newest conquest," he said without any expression.

His eyes were striking blue-green so different from Ivan's soothing brown eyes. I knew from the moment he opened his mouth, I wouldn't like him. He looked at me from head to toe and said,

"I knew he had a bad taste in women."

I just stared daggers at him like any minute now I could get him killed. I just kept my mouth shut, I roamed around. No Ivan near the area.

"So tell me... What do you want from my brother?" he bluntly asked.

"There is nothing to tell," I answered.
He grinned, "I know your kind."

"You don't know me."

"I'm good at assessing people."

"Then you have no good judgment."
