Amelia peeked around Blade's shoulder to see the girl.
She twisted her hair, "Oh, Blade, you don't think that terrible of me?" she referred to the conversation Blade and Amelia had.
Blade chuckled, "Oh, Lacey," he used the tone she did a second ago, "you don't think I /don't/, do you?"
Lacey smirked, and replied, "Rogues can dream."
Blade growled, "Not if your dead, now beat it. Leave town. Better yet, leave this country."
Lacey frowned like a child wanting a toy, "Blade! That was hurtful."
Blade straightened his back, "It was meant to be. Now go," he said and folded his arms, "my pack would kill you in a heartbeat."
Lacey started to walk off but halted and glanced back, "Why don't you?"
Blade snarled and Amelia, at his snarl, stumbled back and was now fully visible to Lacey.
Lacey quickly turned back and looked at her. Her straight hair that was much shorter than Amelia's, and it seemed to glow as sun hit it.
Amelia was speechless. Blade quickly answered, "No one important. Now go."
Lacey slithered closer toward Amelia but Blade blocked her, and he growled, "I'm beta now, I have the power to make this very hard for you."
Lacey ignored him, "So, girl, what's your name?" Amelia didn't reply, but looked to Blade.
Lacey chuckled, "He isn't your master, is he? Come on, what's your name?"
Amelia gulped and replied, "Amelia." Lacey smiled, "Cute name. So, where did he find a scaredy cat like you?"
Blade grinned, "You got that from me." He referred to the 'scaredy cat'. He shook his head and growled, "I mean it Lace. Go!"
Lacey realized his eyes started to flicker, and she walked off.
Amelia breathed out once she left, "Old flame?" Amelia asked.
Blade looked toward a tree, "And I was the one who got burned."
Amelia started to pat him on the back, but she froze as he looked at her, "Go back home Scaredy Cat, I got things to do. Not explain how rogue's live."
Amelia knew she hit a tender spot and nodded, "Thanks anyways." She said, somewhat hopelessly.
He sighed, "Darren would probably like to know about my meeting with Lacey. I think I need someone to help me with my story."
Amelia smirked, "Are you inviting me to your pack house?"
Blade growled annoyedly, "No. Just, I think, Darren would like you to give your thoughts-- I don't know! Do you want to come, or not?"
Amelia knew going home would just add sad memories as she packed.Amelia nodded and said, "I don't know how to get there, though."
Blade started walking, "Learn." he said and Amelia ran behind him.
~•~Soon a small castle appeared. It was dark a gloomy, like something out of a horror movie.
Amelia shivered as the large wooden doors opened with a eery sound.Blade closed them and said, "Boo!"
Amelia, at the time, was looking around. She was in awe of the old castle's gothic appearance. When Blade said 'boo', she jumped and spun around to face him smirking.
Blade pushed by with a swift, "Scaredy Cat."
Amelia huffed, "You mean Scaredy Wolf."
Blade looked back, "We aren't sure yet. You smell of human, but something's inside," he halted and studied her, "that might not be human."
