Amelia gasped, and her eyes widened. She was frantically looking around, and Blade grabbed her shoulders to steady Amelia's gaze.
Amelia gazed into Blade's eyes, and Blade smiled, "Your eyes flickered red."
Amelia began getting worried, "What if I turn!"
Blade bridal style picked her up, and quickly used his wolf speed to move them further away. Amelia felt the wind like a tornado for what felt like a minute.
They were at the door to the pack house, and Amelia was amazed, it'd usually take thirty minutes.
Blade gently put her down, and Trudy walked up, "Where's Abigail? I sent her to make sure you were okay? Where's Garth?"
Amelia plunged her head into Blade's shoulder and a tear escaped.
Trudy understood what that meant and placed her hand on Amelia's back.
Amelia hugged Trudy, "Mom, he's gone..."
Trudy nodded, "I'm so sorry."Amelia replied in between sniffles, "Me too."

Amelia had went to her room, and hadn't been out since she went in.
Amelia looked over, and the clock said 4:30am.
Suddenly, the door eased open, and Amelia had all the lights turned off.
Blade whispered, "Hello? Are you awake?"
Amelia sighed, "Yeah."
Blade closed the door, "Sorry if I woke you."
Amelia turned on a lamp, "I was awake. I can't get to sleep. I'm afraid, what if Lacey targets my mom, or someone," she pressed her hand against his chest, "someone I love."
Blade traced his hand against her cheek, "No," he shook his head, "I won't let her."
Amelia scooted over and Blade laid his body next to her. Amelia asked, "I'm afraid, and that means my wolf might come. Which makes me more afraid."
Blade sighed, "I don't know what to say."
Amelia looked over, "Okay, then answer this, how do you run from what's inside your head?"
Blade wrapped his arm around her, "I don't know."

Amelia's dream was first person view, she was running through the woods, and she was faster than she ever was.
She was close to the ground, and she could hear far distances. She could smell the deer by the river, and the roses in a nearby clearing.
She halted, staring into the red eyes of another wolf. Orange fur, and red eyes. Amelia knew who it was, it was Lacey.
Amelia snarled, which came to her as a surprise. She was in wolf form.
Lacey turned human, and rushed off. Amelia transformed human, and chased. Lacey battled some bushes and thorns. Lacey disappeared, and Amelia began chasing her. The thorns ripped through clothing, as did the bush's twigs.

Amelia awoke in the woods. She had ripped clothing, and she didn't have the slightest idea where she was.
She remembered what she thought was a dream, of her chasing Lacey. Amelia doubted it was a dream.
She heard Blade calling, and confusedly followed his voice.
She arrived at the porch, where Blade cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled her name.
Amelia walked up the steps to a relieved Blade.
Blade asked, "Where were you?"
Amelia was still a bit off, "I was, uh, in the woods."Blade asked, "Why?"
Amelia explained what happened, and Blade didn't understand it.
Amelia frowned, and searched for Trudy.
Trudy was relaxing on the couch, and seeing Amelia's ripped clothing, Trudy asked, "What happened?"
Amelia didn't know, so she shrugged. Amelia replied, "I changed into a wolf, but I couldn't control myself. It's like a dream."
Trudy looked to Blade, and said, "Her eyes aren't red."Amelia frowned at her mother and sat down, "Maybe they never will."
Blade sat down, "Last night, you asked something that I couldn't answer... Now I can. You don't run. You face it. Confront it."
Amelia sighed, "My inner demons scare me."
Blade replied softly, "That's what fuels their fire."Amelia smiled faintly and hugged Blade.
Amelia looked to Trudy, "Can I try something?"
Trudy asked, "What?"
Amelia placed her hand on Trudy's forehead. Amelia tried to enter her mind, but it didn't work.
Amelia looked to Blade, "Maybe... Maybe we can."
Blade shrugged, "Sure."Amelia placed her hand onto his head. Everything flashed white, she saw his past. His childhood.
She saw him with Lacey, and how it ended. Lacey tried to take over the pack, and Blade thought she was crazy.
Amelia saw his childhood, growing up, he heard stories of Garth The Great. Lacey The Betrayer, and of Amelia The Amazing.
Amelia snapped out of it, and looked at the surprised Blade.
Blade said, "I could feel her reading my memories. Not my thoughts. How is that possible?"
Amelia was confused, "I read your mind. You said werewolves can do that."
Trudy nodded, "Werewolves can hear other's thoughts, we can't unlock their memories!"
Amelia was surprised, "Then how can I?"
Trudy was unsure, she didn't know how Amelia could read memories, and so Trudy said, "Try to transform."
Amelia looked over, "You're crazy! I can't control it!"
Trudy said, "Try."
Amelia frowned, and focused on feeling like she had control. She felt the woods, the feel of being free.

Amelia awoke dazed, and the sun was straight above. It was noon. The time had gone, and she looked over.
Trudy and Blade stood beside her. Amelia looked around and saw she was in the yard, "What happened?" she rubbed her eyes.
Trudy replied, "Your wolf is different."
"Different how?" Amelia replied confused.
Trudy replied, "Your wolf, it can, do things."
Amelia rolled her hand, "And...? Like what?"
Trudy looked to Blade, and Blade looked to Amelia, "You can control Earth.."
