Amelia began dialing. Soon, it began to ring. Finally, "Hello?" Garth answered.
Amelia hushed replied, "Hey Dad..." she was clearly worried about getting in trouble.
Garth replied happily, "You're alive! Where are you?"
Amelia looked to Darren. She replied, "With Darren-"
Darren interrupted and grabbed the phone, "It's alpha Darren, now."
Garth grumbled, "Darren," and suddenly Trudy was on the phone. She was raging, "Darren if you do so much as to touch her, I'll rip your hand off."
Darren laughed, "Calm down, Trudy, it's nothing like that. She came to us."
Trudy yelled, "Send her home! Don't put those thoughts in her head!"
Darren replied, "What thoughts? You mean about you abandoning your pack, and lying to her?"
Trudy handed he phone to Garth and Garth began speaking, "Darren, send her home."
Darren tapped his chin, "What if I don't want to?"
Garth calmly replied, "You want something," he sighed, "what is it?"
Darren replied, "You." and he hung up the phone.
Amelia stood up from the chair, "I want to go home now," she said and looked toward the door, "I know my parents wanted to keep me safe. Away from war. I can't believe I thought they just lied to me."
Darren rushed over and used his finger to make Amelia look up at him. He used his finger to push Amelia's chin up.
Darren shook his head and placed his hands on her shoulders, "No, please. Penny, Blade, and many more might die if I don't see your father. Please, don't make the same mistake they did and leave us. My father died because Garth left, I put that behind me."
Amelia asked, "How do I know you did?"
Darren laughed, "You'd already be dead if I didn't."
Amelia thought about it. Penny seemed nice, and Amelia couldn't handle the guilt of she died. She forced a smile, "I'll just hang out with Penny."
Darren sighed, "Okay, but Garth will come... And please, be on my side. Garth left us-"
Amelia shook her head, "I'm sorry. I won't pick a side." She then corrected herself, "I //can't// pick a side."
Darren sighed and walked to the door, "Fine, you'll be in the middle of a war."
Amelia watched him walk out and she followed. He soon halted, spun around on his heels and smiled with a fake smile, "Listen, me walking away meant for you to stay put."
Amelia's eyes slightly widened, as his gaze was clearly amazing, as it hid his true rushed feeling. Amelia then returned to normally looking at him. She shrugged, "You didn't tell me to."
Darren frowned, "Yeah," he looked back toward a light blue dress, "I was going to come back with that."
The blue dress rested neatly on a chair. Darren gestured, "For tonight."
Amelia questioned, "What? My parents will be here earlier."
Darren chuckled, "I wouldn't bet on that."
Amelia questioned, "What'd you do to them? If you hurt them-"
Blade rounded the corner and halted beside Darren. Darren shook his head, "No, Dear. I didn't do anything to them. They won't be able to find this place, until tonight."
Amelia questioned, "Why not?" Darren chuckled.
Darren replied, "You see, night isn't when we turn into our wolves... It's when our wolves turn into us. We all get heightened senses, instead of us turning it on and off."
Amelia tilted her head, "How will this help them find us?"
Darren sighed, "Even those who have betrayed-- Uh, well, who have left their pack, and started to become human, still get these senses. They'll sense a pack. And you."
Amelia nodded in understanding, "Oh," her //Oh// was long a stretched out, "I get it."
Darren sighed in relief and clasped his hands together, he was clearly in a rush, "Great! Now, get dressed, and get going."
Amelia stepped forward, "Did you ever see me as a child?"
Darren laughed, "Yeah, after he left, we talked about him joining back. The war got worse, and I stopped visiting. I asked him to come back and-"
Amelia interrupted, "That's all I need."
Darren frowned, "Don't let your person feelings cloud your judgment."
Amelia looked back to the dress, "How'd you know my favorite color?"
Darren shrugged, "When you were little you're favorite color was blue, as is your mother's."
Amelia smiled faintly at her childhood memory, and quickly shook her head and grabbed the dress, "Where do I change?"
She scanned the dress and looked back. Only Blade was standing there. Amelia asked, "Where's Darren?"
Blade gestured down the hall, "Follow me, and werewolves have super speed. He's probably downstairs already."
Amelia was holding the dress in one hand, "Oh. Where to now?"
Blade handed her some shoes, "To your room, of course."
Blade swiftly moved past, and began walking quickly.
Amelia turned to follow but quickly mimicked Blade. She voiced, 'of course.' and added annoying facial expressions.
She quickly focused her eyes to Blade standing there. She stumbled back, "Heh..." she said humorlessly, and nervously.
Blade smirked, "You're adorable." he said and walked off.
Amelia blushed. She began following. Amelia felt, for some reason, happy. She shook her head, as if to shake off the feeling.
Amelia finally caught up, and Blade ignored her heavy breathing. Blade said, "Once the wolf comes you'll stop being so easily tired."
Blade halted, and Amelia accidentally tripped over her own feet as she tried to skid to a stop. She tripped, falling forward to Blade's back.
Blade quickly leaned over, and extended his arms. He shifted his body and leaned down.
His hand were placed on her back, and if his hand wasn't there, she'd would be on the floor. His other hand was wrapped around her shoulder, it was gentle.
They gazed into each other's eyes. His eyes were full of worry, and he scanned her body to make sure she was okay.Amelia smiled, "Thanks." Blade started to smile, but paused and pulled her up.
She leaned down and grabbed the dress and shoes. She looked up, and he was opening the door. He ignored her word and said coldly, "Come on."
She rushed in and shuffled into the bathroom. After she changed, she walked out. Her orange hair was bouncing perfectly on her shoulder. Her brown eyes were lined perfectly with eyeliner. Her mascara made her lashes seem inches long. The blush perfectly matched her complexion, and the dress was a bit higher than her knees. The dress didn't have any straps, and was tightly fitted. Her black shoes sent her five inches off the ground.
The dim light of the lamp lit her figure up nicely, and Blade shook his head to snap him out of his state. He looked toward the door. He shrugged, "Uh, you wait," he then opened the door after two long strides to get to it, "for me to return." he disappeared as he closed it.
