Amelia suggested, "Redial?"
Darren shot her look of anger, and he soon sighed, "Sorry. I'm just thinking. I've already tried to redial, it's no use."
Amelia folded her arms, "Oh." she said with disappointment.
Blade asked, "What's level two?"
Darren frowned, "I've called around, and all the packs that have dealt with Lacey doesn't know."
Amelia frowned, "Why not?"
Garth gasped, "Is it because they haven't made it to level two?"
Darren nodded slowly, "That's why I'm so upset. We don't know what to expect."
Garth's eyes flickered red. Amelia realized Trudy's eyes were turning red, too. Garth's red eyes were returning slower.
Amelia slowly got up, and followed Darren and the others out.
Everyone scattered, but Blade and Amelia stuck together.
Amelia frowned, "What do you think will happen?"
Blade shrugged, "Who knows.. I have a surprise for you!"Blade gently put his hand around Amelia's wrist, and led her to her room.
She glanced around, "Yeah...?"Blade frowned, "Come on."
Amelia's eyes halted to her fish, "Oh my gosh! Blade, how did you-! Wait, does this mean... Are we in the pack?"
Blade smiled and nodded. Amelia ran up, and flung herself into his arms. He spun around while hugging her.
She put her feet on the floor and marched over to her fish, "His name is Mickey."
Blade walked over and leaned over. He looked at it, "Hi, Mickey."
The fish breached the surface and got air, and it submerged.
Amelia looked to Blade, "I think he likes you! When did you last feed him?"
Blade shrugged, "This morning."
Amelia sighed in relief, and hugged him again, "Thank you."
Blade shrugged, "No problem."
Amelia smirked, "Come get me!" she raced off, "No using wolf speed!"
Blade shook his head slowly at the playfulness.
Blade followed and ran down the stairs.
He follows her out into the yard.
He tackled her, and the two fell to the ground. Amelia landed on her back, while Blade landed on his side.
Amelia stood up, and rushed off. Blade followed. Amelia ran into the woods, and looked back.Amelia realized that she lost Blade. She smirked, "Aha." she chanted in victory.
Lacey appeared, "I wouldn't be celebrating, just yet."
Amelia's heart pounded and she spun around to meet the gaze of Lacey.
Lacey smirked. Amelia scowled, "What are you doing here?"
Lacey shrugged, "I can ask you the same."
Amelia frowned, "You're not one of us."
Lacey chuckled, "One of what? Pack wolves? I'm a rogue, so what? Look in the mirror, you aren't one of them. Haven't you noticed something? You're parents eyes are returning red."
Amelia thought back. Lacey chuckled, "What about you? Haven't they told you the stories?"
Amelia frowned, "Stories, about what?"
Lacey grinned, "You. You have some secrets, and they hide you from it. Because you're weak."
Amelia folded her arms, "We defeated you and your army of guards."
Lacey shrugged, "What can you do alone? That's all you are, alone."
Amelia looked toward the pack den, and Lacey chuckled, "They lie to you. They still are. Did they tell you what happened when you were little? Why they never came back? Why your mother kept you from the woods?"
Amelia snarled, "How do you know this!"
Lacey chuckled, "I got inside your father's head, dear. I learned so much."
Suddenly, Blade came past a bush, and Amelia looked over to meet Blade's curious gaze.
