Jai

March 14th:

Two weeks of press done, two premieres - one in LA and one in NYC - and now I am packing and ready to head home for three days before I am working again. The next four months are going to be busy. Busier than I can really imagine, because this work comes smack dab in the middle of the precious time before my wedding. Our wedding. I feel like such a shit about that, but after some convincing from not only Ayla, but her parents and my parents, this is no big deal. Everything is already handled. It seems that at this point, all we have to do for that sweet day in August is show up. That is totally fine with me.

"You are a serious hit with not only these junkets, but now that the movie has been seen by a shit load of people your popularity is soaring," Hank, my agent boasted as he walked into my hotel room.

"Pssh, yeah okay," I mumbled, sitting on the bed and slipping my shoes on.

"Jai, I'm not kidding. Your name is trending across social media. Seems people really like the bad boy. Eric is a hit."

I laughed thinking about those words. People liking the bad boy. I don't know about all that, but hey, if the fans like it, I'm down.

"Alright," I sighed. "I have to get to the airport. My flight leaves at 3:00."

"There's a cab downstairs waiting for you, Geri called for it," Hank assured.

"Excellent. Okay man," I pulled him in for handshake. "I will talk to you soon?"

"You got it. Have a safe trip!"

It was nice to see Hank, since he lives in New York we were able to meet up and really get to know each other better. I also hired a new personal assistant, Geri. She has been pretty great. She also lives here in New York, and so far has been the best PA I've had. Okay, I've had two in my life, but they were temps. I needed to actually make it official I thought, so Geri came to me with great recommendation.

She's a doll, really. A petite little redhead with a serious spunky attitude. She's definitely a good one to have on your side. She has a high-pitched piercing voice that is crucial when needed and surprisingly not as obnoxious as you'd think. Really. I can't even believe I'm thinking that. Between her and Hank, I have a pretty good team of people to seriously get shit done.

I made my way down to the lobby and was greeted by that chipper little PA right away.

"You are all set. The cab will take you directly to the airport. Would you like me to have a cab pick you up in Baltimore?" Geri asked.

"Oh, no thank you. My fiance will be there to get me."

"Wonderful! Well Jai, it's been a pleasure these past 2 weeks. I'll see you in a few days for round 2?" She added.

"You got it. Thanks love, see you soon," I smirked at her, adding a pat to her arm.

She sent me a sweet grin before I quickly went to the cab.

March 15th:

7:00AM. I could barely sleep last night. Ayla grabbed me from the airport, we went for take-out and spent the rest of the evening catching up of ridiculous reruns of our favorite, useless shows. I told her all the details about the press tour, and showed her all the random pictures I had taken over the past two weeks. She talked about the birth center, how busy she's been with her work and caught me up on more wedding details that her and Tanya had sorted out.

Her and the girls all plan to go to the movies once I leave in a few days to go and see Divergent. I had insisted that she come to the premiere with me but her work schedule was tight and she wasn't able to take off.
