Ayla

November 1st:

"Is it possible that this beard has gotten sexier since the last time I saw you?" I purred to Jai as I walked towards him in the airport.

"I think it's possible, for sure. Come here," he said with a sly jaunt, pulling me into him as we greeted each other for the first time in over a month.

He placed a sweet, long kiss on my lips not caring about the surrounding onlookers and potential paparazzi. Something I wasn't used to at all. But I knew it was only a matter of time.

"You didn't have to come for me. I would have taken a cab," I shyly spoke.

"Not a chance, love. I never mind the paps. I've never done anything to make them hunt me like crazy. Actually the nicer you are to them, the less they really care about you."

I remember my dad saying those same words when I was younger. And he was totally right.

"Besides, it's not gonna be me they're worried about. All you baby," he wiggled his eyebrows as we walked, arm-in-arm, out the big glass doors.

I guess he wasn't wrong. Under his name on Yahoo! was the small headline: Who is the Cute Blonde That Stole Jai Courtney's Heart? I chose not to read it, I didn't really care what they had to say. Probably lies anyway,

Jai has a movie premiere tonight; One of his Australian flicks is finally showing here in Hollywood. The recent hype, thanks to film festivals, is the reason tonight is such a big deal. Jai wouldn't miss an opportunity like this about any movie that he's proud of, as long as he can make it. I wasn't going to come out here, but he begged me to. I didn't want to intrude, I told him. He told me that I was out of my fucking mind. But hey, it's true. I read entertainment magazines and the internet - not every significant other is there at all these things and that is totally okay. I decided to let him choose. And he firmly made the strict rule that I need to be at all of these things, as long as my work permits it. So, I'm in LA today until tomorrow afternoon, when I fly home to work on Monday. Then he'll be back in New Orleans.

"I'm excited to show off this new dress that I bought," I said, climbing into the rental that Jai had.

"You know, one of those fashion girls today begged me to let her dress you," he noted, getting into the driver's seat.

"And I really appreciate that, but I already bought my dress. Maybe next time," I joked.

"I told her that. Next premiere you're all hers."

"I was kidding."

"I wasn't," he said with conviction.

"Ooh? Feisty, Jai?" I looked at him with curiosity. "I love it."

"Well, it's true. You deserve to be just as pampered if not more than I do at these things. All the girls are already in love with you anyway," he looked at me with a grin.

"You've been talkin' about me, huh?"

"I can't stop. I've showed them countless pictures of you. Marie, in particular, can't wait to do your make-up."

"I'm looking forward to it! Ask your sister, I love other people doing my make-up. I'm an excellent customer," I winked. "Aren't we getting ready as soon as we get to the hotel?"

"Yeah," Jai breathed.

"Sorry I didn't catch an earlier flight. They were all booked and I was busy helping at the office last night-"
