Chapter 46,

Friday, five days later;

"Madison, birthday breakfast in five!" My dad called out as I was searching through my phone. "Okay!" I yelled back as I continued to scroll through my notifications.

As I was going through all the birthday posts, I noticed all but one sent me something. Matt hasn't sent anything to wake up to, nothing saying have a good day. It did leave me a bit sad, but maybe he's sleeping. 

As I was writing back to everyone, saying my thank you's, my door bursted open with Nash, Hayes, Skylynn, Sammy and Will coming in with huge grins upon their faces. A smile soon grew across my lips, as I jumped my phone to place full attention onto them. 

"Happy birthday!" They all said in sync as I placed my hands upon my cheeks. "Thank you," I said as I couldn't wipe this smile off of my lips. 

"Here's some presents," Nash jumped onto my bed and chucked a few down upon my feet. "Is this just from you?" I raised an eyebrow. "Mhm," He nodded as I shook my head. 

"You didn't have too," I picked up a present and watched everyone sit by the end of my feet. "But I did," He nudged me causing me to playfully roll my eyes. 

After everyone gave me a hug, and after I opened up everyone's presents, we all headed towards downstairs and sat down at the table. I greeted my dad and got a hug from him, my step-mum doing the same. 

"Before you go to school, I want to fill you up with a delicious breakfast," Dad said as he placed a bowl with fruit in front of me and then a plate full of breakfast goodness. "Thank you," I grinned and looked up at him; as I was sitting down and he was over towering me. 

"I'll give you your present after school," Dad smiled causing me nod. "That's fine by me," I said as I slowly looked back at the plate in front of me. 

After finishing my birthday breakfast, and after I felt enormously huge, I went up to my bedroom and got dressed into my school uniform. I then brushed my teeth, and did my hair up. After filling my school bag up with old, crumbled books, I ran back downstairs where I was greeted by Sammy. 

"Happy birthday, yeah nugget," Sammy pinched my cheeks as I brushed his hands off of my face. "Thanks you willy," I nudged him and soon smirked. 

Once Sammy and I shared a laugh, we headed outside and got into my car as Sammy wanted to go for coffee. We buckled ourselves for safety, soon the car being turned on and the radio filling our ears. 

"How does it feel to be eighteen?" Sammy said as I started to drive off. "I don't feel any different. If I'm being honest," I chuckled as he nodded. 

"Heard anything from Matt?" Sammy as I sighed. "Nope," I popped the 'p'. 

He just nodded and kept quiet, making me furrow my eyebrows. I shook it off and headed towards Starbucks, where Sammy was shouting me. We soon arrived and hopped out of the car, soon locking it up and walking off down the carpark. But, of course, a couple of girls stopped us to get a picture with Sammy. 

"Sorry Maddie," Sammy said before taking a picture with a girl. "It's fine," I smiled while crossing my arms.

"Are you his girlfriend?" A girl asked me that was waiting for a picture with Sammy. I slowly looked at her and furrowed my eyebrows, "He's my best friend."

"Are you sure?" She wiggled her eyebrows as I started to get really grossed out. "Yes. I have a boyfriend anyways," I shook my head. 

"Yeah, him," She nodded towards him causing my eyebrows to raise; getting shocked by their actions. "Matt's my boyfriend. So how is that possible?" I raised an eyebrow.
