Chapter 2,

Saturday, a day later:

"Woah, I have never been so upset in my life," Sammy started to cry, in the middle of the airport. "It's okay, I'm not dead am I?" I started giggling, trying to lighten the mood.

"I'll miss you, Maddie!" Sammy pulled me into his open, soft arms. "Sam, there is something I need to tell you," I broke from the hug, feeling my heart start to pick it's pace up.

"No there is something I need to tell you," He placed his fingers onto my lips. "Oh okay," I removed his fingers and smiled slightly.

"Thank you for being such an amazing friend. I love you for it, I really do. Also I love how you got chicks my way, you are a great wing man," Sam nudged me, wiggling his eyebrows. 

Wing man, seriously?!

"Oh, yeah. It's alright," I tried to smile. "What did you need to tell me?" Sammy raised his eyebrows, seeming interested.

"Uh, that I'm very grateful for your company and your support. Thanks," I smiled slightly, shrugging a little. "Come here," Sammy pulled me into another soft, cuddly hug.

"Flight 456 to North Carolina is ready to board, flight 456 to North Carolina please board," The lady over the intercom announced.

"Time to go," I squeezed Sammy harder than he was squeezing me, taking a deep breath in. "Call me when you land," Sammy pulled away from the hug after a minute, wiping underneath his eyes.

"Of course," I smiled at him, feeling tears brim my eyes. "Bye Madison," Sammy whispered.

"Bye Sammy," I waved him goodbye, walking off into the distance; feeling my heart rip out of my chest.

I stumbled my way off of the plane, walking down the terminal. I yawned and found myself walking towards the doors that led to the inside of the airport.

As I walked into the airport, I got greeted by my dad, step mum and Skylynn. The biggest smile landed it's way onto my lips, feeling a piece of my heart mend it's self back together. 

I ran up to my dad and gave him the biggest hug ever, wrapping my arms around him. I haven't seen him in the longest time, making my eyes sting with happiness. 

"Welcome home!" He cried into my arms, gripping onto me so tight. I felt his tears land onto my shoulders, making my throat get all teary.  "You don't know how I much I have missed you," I shredded a little tear, grinning like crazy. Hearing his voice after a few months really makes me happy. 

He kissed my cheek and let me go, staring into my eyes afterwards. He stroked my hair and chuckled, grinning like crazy. He moved aside and showed a wild, gorgeous Skylynn.

"Hello Sky," I bent down to her, poking her chubby cheeks. "Maddie, can we play horses when we get home?" She hugged me, muffling words into my hair.

"I would love that," I tickled her, hearing her giggle in my ears; making me smile like crazy. Seeing her bright blue eyes lit up, melts my heart and takes my heart into another world. 

"Hi mum," I hugged Elizabeth, making sure she felt special.

When I used to visit dad and Elizabeth, I got to really get to know her, realizing that she's the figure I need in my life. So ever since seeing her a lot, I've grown to call her mum. Yes it may be weird to some of you, but I have really grown to love this women who loves me just as much.
