"So," I started slowly started, my gaze forever lingering on the preserved yet doodled-covered journal. "what's with the journal?"

He took his time, sipping his second cup of steaming brew in silence as he searched for something to respond with. His eyebrows then creased in perplexity, seeming as he didn't comprehend my question correctly. "What about it?"

"I mean, since you've been here, I always find it you carrying it around or writing in it. What's in it?"

A slight smirk tugged at his lips as he took another sip of his steaming beverage, causing me to shift uncomfortably in my seat. "A lot of personal things that you wouldn't be interested in."

Something about that journal truly captivated me, intrigued me. I wanted to read all of his inner most deepest secrets, or his cute little song lyrics, or his beautiful yet untold stories. I wanted to know everything about his beautiful being. The way he would crease his eyebrows in such concentration as he wrote about in that journal, made me wonder; perhaps a little too much.
