I See You. (Camren)

Chapter Twenty-One.

Camila.

We walk back into Lauren's childhood garden, and I instantly spot a dark skinned woman standing next to Dinah, holding a conversation with her as Harmony sits casually on Dinah's hip, I look over at Lauren and watch as a huge grin spreads across her face as she spots the other girl.

"NORMANI" Lauren shouts and I watch as the dark skinned girl whips her head around, her own face breaking out into a huge smile.

Lauren's hand leaves my own and I watch as both girls begin running towards each other, wrapping each other up in an embrace, the pair of them spinning in circles and swaying side to side, before coming to a stop and just holding onto each other, I walk slowly towards the two, a smile on my face as I watch their interaction.

The dark skinned girl who I now know as Normani? Looks over Lauren's shoulder at me and smiles, nudging the green eyed girl.

"Aren't you going to introduce me" Normani grins as I come to a stop beside Lauren.

Lauren looks over her shoulder and smiles, stepping backwards so she is right beside me.

"Normani this is my girlfriend Camila, Camila this is my best friend Normani" Lauren beams.

"It's great to finally meet you, after hearing Lauren gush about you down the phone every night, it's nice to be able to finally put a face to the name" Normani smiles at me and a blush creeps onto my cheeks.

I turn to look at Lauren and quirk my eyebrow, seeing that her cheeks have also gone a dark shade of red.

"It's not to meet you too" I finally answer her.

"Thanks for that Mani" Lauren slaps her friend on the arm.

"You're welcome Laur" Normani grins smacking Lauren back.

"Mummy" Harmony comes running over and I smile bending down to greet her.

"Hey baby, what's up?" I smile placing my hands on her hips.

"I'm hungry"

"Well we can't have that now can we" Lauren smiles joining in on the conversation, to which Harmony looks up at her and shakes her head.

"Let's go and get you some food" Lauren takes my daughters hand and begins walking away with her, leaving me with Normani.

"Thank you" Normani says as I stand back up.

"For what?" I look at her in confusion.

"Entering her life and making her happy" Normani smiles at me.

"She was technically the one that came crashing into my life" I explain.

"She never actually did tell me how the two of you met"

"I thought she gushed about me every night" I smirked.

"Oh she did believe me, Camila this and Camz that, I literally could not get the girl to shut up, but she never actually told me how you two met, so care to fill in the blanks?" Normani asks.

Is there a reason that Lauren never actually told her? Or did she just not think to mention it, surely she won't care if I tell her right?

"She saved Harmony from getting run over" I explain.

"What? How?"

"I had my back turned for a split two seconds, and when I turned, Harmony was in the middle of the road, a car speeding towards her, I was too frozen in shock to actually do anything, but Lauren had dropped her stuff and had darted out into the middle of the road, wrapping her body around Harmony's and taking the hit, the car managed to slow down but didn't come to a complete stop until after Lauren was knocked to the ground, so she ended up with some serious bruising on her back, which I didn't know about until a week later, but Harmony didn't have a scratch on her" I explain, my mind going straight back that day and playing it in my head like a movie.
