I See You. (Camren)

Chapter Forty Two

Camila. 

"What?" Lauren looks at me in shock. 

"You heard me" I say softly. 

"Are you serious?" Lauren asks. 

"Of course I am" 

"Camila, we're not even married, or even engaged for that matter, are you sure you want to do this?" Lauren look at me with a worried expression. 

"Lauren, we don't have to be married for you to be Harmony's mum legally, that's it now, no matter what happens between us, you're her mum Lauren, I wouldn't want anyone else to have that title over my daughter" I explain. 

"You really want me to be her mum? Legally?" Lauren asks, choking on her words. 

"Of course I do" I lower my tone, cupping her face between my hands. 

"Will Harmony want that?" Lauren asks. 

"We can talk to her about it later, but I feel like I already know her answer" 

"You're not going to regret this?" 

"No Lauren" I shake my head. 

"Okay" Lauren nods her head.

"You'll adopt her?" I ask a grin slowly coming onto my face. 

"Of course I'll adopt her, I've looked at that little girl as if she was my own, the second you agreed to be my girlfriend, why on earth wouldn't I want to adopt her? I would love to be her mum legally" Lauren beams up at me. 

"Please never break her heart" I say to her one last time, I know I've said it to her so many times before, but now things are so much more serious, I just have to be sure. 

"I never will baby" Lauren shakes her head. 

"Can we get out of here please, I need to talk to Harmony" I let out a small sigh. 

"Of course baby, grab your things and we'll go okay" Lauren pats my hips softly. 

"Okay" I nod and stand up walking over to my locker. 

I take a slow deep breath, and wipe my hands across my face, ridding my cheeks of any remaining tears, I grab my bag and jacket from my locker before turning back around to face Lauren, who is watching me with a small smile on her face. 

"What?" I ask. 

"I really love you" 

I don't even want to see what I look like with the smile that just broke out on my face, I swear Lauren only has to say that and she can instantly change my mood, I can be in the shittiest mood of my life like I just was, and all she has to do is smile at me or tell me she loves me, and I'm the happiest girl in the world, I don't even know how to explain it, it's just her enitre presence, she makes me feel so calm, and she's so patient with me, she calms me down and makes me feel better without even realising it, or even really doing anything, I swear I'm so attached to this woman, how can she completely change my mood just by smiling at me, god I am so whipped. 

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lauren questions me after I completely zoned out. 

"No reason baby" I shake my head softly "Come on, let's go" I hold out my hand, nodding my head towards the door. 

Lauren reaches forward, her fingertips brushing against my own, before she stands and links our hands together, pressing a kiss against my cheek, I offer her a small smile before pulling the door open and walking back out into the diner, I see Harmony sitting at the countertop with her daily strawberry milkshake sitting in front of her, Dinah sitting beside her.
